CATHERINE HAGGARTY - VASD Program is pleased to announce a captivating Artist Talk and exhibition reception featuring Brooklyn-based artist Catherine Haggarty. This free and public event will take place at RMCAD's Mary Harris Auditorium in Denver on February 6, 2024. The doors will open at 5:00 pm, and the talk will commence at 5:30 pm. Prior to and following the Artist Talk, attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy the exhibition reception. Catherine Haggarty's remarkable paintings and drawings capture the essence of domestic objects, spaces, and habits through the use of unique pictorial techniques that incorporate multiple perspectives. Her work showcases personal items and elements such as animals, sneakers, beds, floors, and drawings, creating a tangible connection between her life and her art. With intricate compositions and a serene color palette, these pieces explore the role of images in our personal and public lives, encompassing how we perceive our environment, process imagery, and document information. Catherine's talent has earned her recognition from esteemed publications such as Bomb Magazine, Artnet, Hyperallergic, and Art Forum, among others. Her solo and two-person exhibitions have been showcased at prestigious venues such as Lorin Gallery in LA, Geary Contemporary and Massey Klein Gallery in NYC, and Untitled Miami. Additionally, Catherine is the Founder, Owner, and Executive Director of The Canopy Program, a mentorship initiative within the NYC Crit Club. She is a distinguished Visiting Associate Professor at Pratt Institute and will be the Teiger Mentor for the Arts at Cornell AAP MFA in the Spring of 2024. I haven&#39;t been able to go abroad for a while, so I can only take out the photos I took before and look at them. I miss it a lot. We also bought a lot of things in this place, and its architecture is also very local.

Lots of great exhibits and the animals look well cared for.  I would love for more non zoo attractions and services.  More food stands for instance.
