Book yourself in for this small and relaxing botanical art experience!All Materials Supplied - No Experience NecessaryAuckland Wintergardens Botanical Artist, Jennifer Duval-Smith will guide you through this fun and explorative practice which is suitable for all levels of confidence. Leave feeling more connected to your creative self and the natural world. In this workshop you will use easy nature journaling principles to observe and capture a plant subject, allowing plenty of scope and botanical interest for all levels of confidence. You will learn tried and tested methods with simple prompts and accessible strategies to draw a botanical subject and capture natural detail. This class will meet at the beautifully renovated Temperate House at the Auckland Wintergardens and then move to work at a secure behind-the-scenes location at the Domain Nurseryto observe specimens which have been curated for us by our expert Domain Curator team. Your workshop fee includes: • A three hour botanical art workshop • Morning tea and coffee • All materials including paper, pencils, clipboard, watercolour pencils and brushes. You are welcome to bring your own materials • A donation to Friends of the Domain for their generous support Important to know: Numbers for each workshop are strictly limited to 10 for maximum interaction. Please double check your workshop date to avoid disappointment. Cancellations: As the class is small and we are unlikely to be able to fill a last minute spot cancellations within seven days of the event are non-refundable. Replacement attendees will be very welcome. Accessibility: Please note that this series is unfortunately not wheelchair accessible in this instance, due to steep paths and stairs in the venue. Her mission is to reconnect people to nature and help them express their creativity in their own individual way. She has served as artist-in-residence at Auckland Botanic Gardens and teaches at Te Uru Contemporary Gallery. She has exhibited internationally and was selected to represent New Zealand as part of the Botanical Art Worldwide Exhibition 2018 and 2025. We were here during summer in December. All the flowers were in full bloom and the glass house looks great. Entrance is free so if you&#39;re ever at Auckland Domain, don&#39;t forget to drop by.As the glasshouse is rather small, we would recommend not making this your sole attraction to visit but rather tie it up with a visit to Auckland War Memorial or during your walk around Auckland Domain.

The Winter Flower House in Auckland DOMAIN has been open since 1928 and is a favorite of New Zealanders who love gardening culture. Flowers bloom in it all year round. Exotic flowers and plants from the South Pacific, ancient ferns, and colorful seasonal flowers are dazzling. The central courtyard is decorated in Victorian style and has exquisite sculptures. There is a beautiful cafe in DOMAIN, with blue sky and white clouds, and green everywhere. It is very pleasant to enjoy the flowers and drink coffee. Free.

The venue is slightly smaller, but the content is still very rich, and rainy days do not affect the fun at all. It is very suitable for playing with the nearby Mission Bay. The souvenirs inside are very cute and I bought several plush 😘

The whole experience was great, and it&#39;s a great place to learn about New Zealand&#39;s history and culture. The museum is quite large and worth a good half-day visit. There are many interactive exhibits, especially suitable for taking children out. There are also Chinese services, which is recommended.

Although Mount Eden is not high, you can overlook the whole of Auckland from the top of the mountain, and the view is particularly wide. The remains of the crater are clearly visible, covered with green grass, a peaceful green. It is not difficult to walk all the way up. You can also see sheep grazing on the hillside. Their leisurely appearance makes people can&#39;t help but take a few more photos. The wind on the top of the mountain is very strong, but it is also very fresh, which makes people feel particularly bright. It is a good place that does not require tickets or planning, but can leave very deep memories.

Auckland Central Park is not like the common landscape parks in the city. It is more like a natural forest.
