Join a Dorset Wildlife Trust Warden on this family event at Lorton Meadows Nature Reserve for an afternoon dedicated to butterflies. As spring warms up and wild flowers burst into bloom we will take a walk around our ancient meadows looking for butterfly species feeding on nectar. Our staff and volunteers will help you identify the butterflies and other wildlife we see along the way.
This event is suitable for adults and families with children from 4 to 15 yrs old. All children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Event runs 14.00 p.m. - 15.30p.m.
Tickets are charged at £4 per child, and £6 for accompanying adults.
Please book a ticket for all members of your party.
Please be aware that there may be areas of uneven muddy ground so wear wellingtons or walking boots. Also bring what you need (hats, coats, drinking water etc) and wear clothing appropriate to weather on the day.
Free parking is available on site.
Toilet and baby changing facilities on site.

If coming by public transport the number 10 bus runs regularly between Weymouth and Dorchester with the nearest bus stop at Nottington Lane. If travelling from Dorchester nearest stop is Broadwey Methodist Church. It is then approximately a 10-15 minute walk to the centre via Dorchester Rd then Lorton Lane.
If coming by train the nearest station is at Upwey followed by approximately 20 minute walk via Dorchester Rd then Lorton Lane.

Cancelling your booking
Cancellations are accepted at the discretion of Dorset Wildlife Trust and a reasonable cancellation cause should be provided by the participant.
You may request a cancellation up to 7 days before the date of the course or workshop. You may be charged an administration fee.
