The exhibition The Solo Globe, which will run from October 16, 2024 to January 26, 2025, looks back at the history, great heroes, explorations and special features of the Vendée Globe
The Vendée Globe, held every four years since 1989, is a truly special event in world sailing. Dozens of competitors (33 in 2020) sail solo around the world in a monohull. No stops are allowed, nor any assistance: a long and arduous journey awaits the sailors. Many incredible stories, both glories and tragedies, have taken place during this epic journey.
For this exhibition, the Oceanographic Museum has brought together nearly 300 special pieces and objects to tell and explain the story of this race, its pioneers and its challenges. Exhibits include sailing paraphernalia, models, clothing, artwork, books and archival documents, as well as audio-visual programmes and never-before-seen interviews with racers.

One-day one-park ticket, basically you have the opportunity to play all day, every project is good, you can enter and exit the park, re-enter the park with the ticket, and take away food. The fireworks at night are very showy, so great, it&#39;s worth waiting for more than 7 o&#39;clock in the cold weather, it&#39;s worth it

Great place to visit but can get very crowded around the &quot;must sees&quot; I would highly recommended at least a 2pm slot as the museum is massive and it&#39;ll take a long time to go through all the wings. I went for the 7pm slot and didn&#39;t realise how big it was. Only managed to go through one wing before it closed!

What a magnificent structure. The view of Paris is wonderful. You have the option to take the lift or use the stairs.

Notre Dame is worth it. It is one of the most famous attractions in Paris and a must visit attraction. It was rainy today and the queue was long. Very crowded. Enter the interior of Notre Dame, deeply attracted by the exquisite religious works of the interior decoration, statues, murals, tapestries and so on. Taking a lot of photos and reading a lot of religious knowledge. Worth a visit.

Visiting the Palace of Versailles was an amazing experience, but there are a few things to keep in mind. The palace is about an hour away from the city by train. The gardens are super vast, so be prepared for a lot of walking (suggest to rent a bicycle, golf car or take the shuttle train🤔). There is no need to add the musical show to your ticket if it&rsquo;s scheduled during your visit&mdash;it was free when I went on april. Also, bring some food with you, as dining options inside can be limited and pricey.Keep in mind that once your ticket is scanned, you can only enter the palace once. Make sure to explore the entire palace before stepping out. I arrived 2&ndash;3 hours later than my booking time but was still able to enter without any issues. Be prepared for long queues, especially during peak hours.Overall, it was worth the visit despite the minor inconveniences!

The picture has nothing to do with the Maritime Museum! It may be interesting for those with children, as there are many hands-on activities. It can be arranged together with the Architecture and Heritage Museum, and it is also very close to the Asian American Museum. There is a subway at the door, and transportation is very convenient.
