Led by the talented artist Mindy Fisher, this class offers a warm and friendly environment for students to paint a portrait of their pet. Mindy encourages each attendee to explore their own artistic style by experimenting with color and line. The class will be using acryla-gouache, a highly pigmented water-based paint that dries matte and produces incredibly vibrant colors. All materials, including an 8x8 panel with a predrilled keyhole for easy hanging, will be provided. During the class, Mindy will cover various topics such as introducing each other and our subject matter, sketching out the composition, selecting a color palette, and color blocking and outlining techniques. Attendees are required to bring a photo of their pet, either printed or on their phone. It is recommended to wear clothing that can get dirty or bring a smock or apron, as acryla-gouache is permanent. Pop Art Pet Portraits is recommended for ages 8 and up, and younger kids are welcome with a guardian.
