Hello Painters! We’re thrilled to host this event at Cafe Elite in Lacey! Join us for a fun KIDS & FAMILY paint class—perfect for ages 7 and up! All skill levels are welcome. Our talented Artist Coach will guide each participant step-by-step through the painting process and assist with supplies. In this class, we’ll be painting the ' Kids Jellyfish' artwork on canvas! Cafe Elite will have their full menu available, so you can relax in their cozy lounge area while your kids paint. You can also grab a family ticket and paint alongside your little ones! Proceeds from this event go to support the nonprofit organization 4 The Fallen. This is a non-chipped (not timed) event and is self-paced. Show your patriotism by bringing a USA Flag to carry as you run, jog or walk along the 5K route. We allow dogs on leashes, kids in strollers, grumpy spouses and partners, and reluctant friends. This event is open to all ages and abilities. It doesn't matter if you are fast or slow, this event is for you! In this class, we’ll cover the basic machine operation of the Lacey MakerSpace CNC routers. You will learn the safety procedures to control the machine as well as beginner concepts of routing and milling. We will show you how to do simple designs in Easel Inventables; an online software available for CNC routing. We will also go over material selection, proper tooling, speed and feeds, and mounting procedures that are dependent upon the type of operation being performed and related safety practices. Successful completion of this course will qualify you to use the CNC router independently at LMS. As part of the class, you'll be asked to complete a practice cut to demonstrate proficiency.
