Why does Shelter need your support?
The current housing emergency is detrimentally impacting Greater Manchester, with Shelter’s recent analysis finding a 15% increase in homelessness in the last year, 1 in 61 people experiencing homelessness, and 25,132 people including 11,000 children currently without a permanent home
.
Why skydive with Skydive Tilstock?
This is the perfect challenge for both first-time jumpers and experienced skydivers alike. You will jump from 13,000 feet for the ultimate freefall experience. There will be fully qualified instructors guiding you through every step of this incredible experience, making sure you are safe and confident.

How much do I need to fundraise?
£800
Please note, you need to confirm your health & saftey information and have raised at least 50% of your fundraising target 1 month prior to the big day (27th May).
What to expect on your jump day.
With all the nerves and excitement, it is important you read this overview. We want you to be prepared!
Arrival & Registration
: Show up ready to go, with comfortable clothes and your completed forms.
Training Session
: Your instructor will brief you on the jump process, safety protocols, and landing tips.
Kit Up
: Get suited in your harness, goggles, and helmet.
Take Off
: Board the aircraft and climb to 13,000 feet, adrenaline starts building here!
The Leap
: Exit the plane with your instructor and feel the exhilaration of freefalling at 120mph.
Parachute Deployment
: At 5,000 feet, your instructor will pull the parachute, and you can enjoy the serene glide back to earth.
No experience? No problem. Tandem jumps mean you’re harnessed to a pro who handles all the technical stuff.
Tandem Skydiving requirements
Age Restrictions
Minimum Age:
16 years old
Maximum Age:
70 years old
Participants under 18 years of age must provide written consent from a parent or guardian (
British Skydiving Form 106
)
Participants aged 70 or over must attend a pre-booking assessment at the centre and obtain
Form 115b
signed by their General Practitioner
Weight and Height Requirements
The maximum weight limit for Tandem Skydiving is
15 stone (95 kg)
, however, this must be proportionate to your height. Weight restrictions exist for safety reasons, as they affect parachute performance and landing dynamics.
Physical Fitness Requirements
All Tandem Skydiving participants must meet the following fitness criteria:
General Fitness:
A reasonable standard of physical fitness is required
Mobility:
Must be fully self-mobile with a complete range of motion
Specific Ability:
Must be able to lift your knees to your chest unaided
Medical Conditions:
Conditions or disabilities that reduce mobility are not suitable for skydiving
Important:
Participants will be assessed upon arrival. Those who do not meet the minimum fitness requirements will be unable to jump.
