Join the Idea Lounge event on the evening of Wednesday, September 27th, at the Petaluma Arts Center in Petaluma, CA. This month's conversation will feature Cat Alden and Josh Petersen as guest speakers. Cat Alden, an accomplished artist, will share her unique perspective on "The Poetry of the Everyday Object: Wedding Dresses to Truck Tires." Through her work, Cat invites viewers to appreciate the beauty found in ordinary objects. Josh Petersen, a Managing Partner at Comparto, will discuss his expertise in "Adaptive Reuse - The Reimagination of Historic Buildings." He will highlight The Watershed, a stunning historical warehouse building located on the Petaluma River.
The event begins with a wine reception and mingling at 6:30pm, followed by the program from 7:00-8:00pm. The Idea Lounge, held on the fourth Wednesday of each month, offers a platform for unexpected conversational pairings based in Petaluma. The speakers, often from contrasting fields, engage in thought-provoking discussions, encouraging the audience to discover connections between seemingly unrelated topics. PAC members can attend for $12, while non-members can join for $15. Don't miss this final event of the 2023 Idea Lounge season at the Petaluma Arts Center. November and December are reserved for the holiday break.
