Route description
A scenic circular route climbing through Lancashire’s rich woodlands to a lofty viewpoint offering outstanding views out over Morecambe Bay to the Lakeland Fells. Starting in the pretty little village of Scorton this leisurely half day ramble is the perfect way to explore the Lancashire countryside. Our route summit, Nicky Nook, though modest in height, offers splendid views over Lancashire’s coastal plain, Morecambe Bay and across to the Lakeland fells. On a clear day it’s possible to see the Isle of Man and even the Great Orme on the North Wales coastline. We’ll return through the parkland of the Wyresdale Estate for coffee and cake In Scorton.

Lancashire Business View is here to bring together the business community of the county, celebrate excellence and provide platforms to share success.
Launching as a magazine in 2005, the brand has grown to become a media business encompassing events, awards and initiatives which are communicated online, in print and in person.
Lancashire Business View magazine is published six times a year, covering the news, advice and opinion. Featuring almost entirely exclusive content, it is written specifically by, for and about Lancashire’s business leaders.
The print publication is backed by a website updated daily with fresh news and opinion, a weekly newsletter and social media which is one of our many tools for keeping connected to organisations in the county.
