SPECTREVISION RADIO PRESENTS
THE SECRET HISTORY OF ALIENS IN AMERICA
DANNY SHEEHAN IN CONVERSATION WITH DANIEL NOAH
Danny Sheehan is one of the most accomplished attorneys in modern American history, with cases that include the Pentagon Papers, Watergate, Iran-Contra, and Wounded Knee, as well as Karen Silkwood and the Boston Priest Scandal, which led to the Oscar-winning films
Silkwood
and
Spotlight
. But his most important work is in the field of UAP disclosure.
Since being appointed as an independent investigator into the UFO phenomenon by the Carter administration in 1977, Sheehan has been diligently collecting information and piecing together narratives for nearly five decades. Through his New Paradigm Institute in Washington, he now works directly with Congress to author legislation that protects whistleblowers and compels full accountability from both public institutions and private contractors involved in UAP programs.
On June 17th, Sheehan will join SpectreVision Radio’s Daniel Noah for an in-depth and comprehensive overview of the alien presence in contemporary United States—a present and yet hidden saga that begins with the Roswell crash of 1947 and winds through intelligence agencies, the military-industrial complex, the White House and the Vatican. It’s a story you will hear nowhere else—one that will confirm suspicions, sound alarms, and inspire hope for the future of our human family.
SpectreVision Radio is a bespoke podcast network that sits at the intersection of the arts and the uncanny, featuring a tapestry of shows exploring creativity, the esoteric, and the unknown. For more information, visit

A Presentation on Art Deco in Los Angeles by Robert Landau | Philosophical Research Society
Jun 18, 2025 (UTC-7)ENDED
City of Los Angeles
A Presentation on Art Deco in Los Angeles by Robert Landau
In the PRS Library!
As part of
YesterdayLA
, we're excited to collaborate with the fantastic Angel City Press to present a lecture by Robert Landau on Art Deco in LA to celebrate the release of his upcoming book on this very subject.
Art Deco Los Angeles
by
Robert Landau
is a stunning photographic tour through one of the most glamorous architectural eras of the City of Angels. Released just in time to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the
Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes
—the 1925 Paris exhibition that defined the Art Deco movement—this book pays tribute to the enduring legacy of this bold and luxurious style.
Art Deco Los Angeles
showcases the city’s most breathtaking Deco landmarks. From the iconic Hollywood Bowl, where the world’s biggest acts dazzle under the evening sky, to the majestic Wiltern Theater, a timeless beacon of architectural grandeur, each image encapsulates the essence of Art Deco style and panache. Featuring photographs from more than 40 years of Robert Landau’s extensive body of work,
Art Deco Los Angeles
features architectural treasures that have been meticulously preserved, like the Eastern Columbia building, and those that are no longer standing, such as the iconic Pan-Pacific Auditorium, which tragically burned in 1989. With meticulous attention to detail and an artist’s eye for composition, Landau captures the energy, elegance, and optimism of a golden age, inviting readers to experience the magic of Art Deco like never before.
Accompanying these striking visuals is an illuminating essay by Alan Hess, Los Angeles’s premier architectural historian, whose expert insights provide a deeper appreciation of the city’s Art Deco treasures. A must-have for lovers of architecture, photography, and design,
Art Deco Los Angeles
is a celebration of a century of style, innovation, and timeless beauty.
Robert Landau
is a photographer and author of several visual books, including the internationally acclaimed
Rock ’n’ Roll Billboards of the Sunset Strip
. His photographs have been shown all over the world. A native Angeleno, his take on L.A. is distinctively passionate and journalistic.

Esoteric Game Night! | Philosophical Research Society
Jun 18, 2025 (UTC-7)ENDED
City of Los Angeles
PRS Esoteric Game Night!
Come one, come all! Test your luck at esoteric & historic, family-friendly games of chance & skill! On the third evening of the third week of every moon (third Wednesday of the month) PRS will be shuffling tarot cards & rolling many-sided dice at our new monthly gathering in the bookstore, PRS Esoteric Game Night!
Each month we will be featuring (& playing) a family-friendly card, board or parlour game of esoteric & historic note.
MAY'S GAME
Liar's Dice
[PRS Esoteric Game Night is not intended for gambling purposes and is in no way connected to gambling in any form, legal or otherwise. PRS Esoteric Game Night games are exhibited for entertainment and educational purposes only.]
A simplified version of
Dudo
("I Doubt" en español), a popular dice game played in Central and South America with many, many variations (
Cacho
,
Pico
,
Perudo
,
Cachito
,
Dadinho
...), the original Liar's Dice traces its roots back to the Incan Empire and is the inspiration for PRS's minimalist take played with only 3 game coins to each player, 3 standard 6-sided dice & a dicing cup.
HOW TO PLAY
The opening player is determined by high roll. The opening player casts the dice onto the table inside the cup & reads them while keeping them hidden from the other players.
The player then declares a score (from 3 to 18) which may or may not be true. This claim is then either accepted or challenged by the player to the left. If the declaration is challenged & the throw is shown to be true (as high or higher than the score that was claimed), the challenging player loses a game coin. If the claim is challenged & shown to be a lie (below the declared value), the bluffing player loses a game coin.
If the claim is accepted, the dice are passed—still concealed from all the other players—to the next player who takes a peek and learns the truth. This player can then either retain all the values of the dice or re-cast any number of them in an attempt to improve the score. The number of dice being re-thrown must be stated, for example, "Throwing two."
The new caster then reads their dice & makes their declaration, which must be higher than the one previously accepted. The next player to the left then must choose to either accept or challenge this new claim.
At some point, as the score continues to rise, a declaration of 18 (three 6s), the highest possible score, will be made. The player to the left still has the same two options to either accept or challenge the claim.
If the declaration of 18 is
accepted & shown to be true
, both players win a game coin. If the claim of 18 is
accepted & shown to be false
, the accepting player (the player who bought the lie) has 3 attempts to roll a true 18. They may keep any 6s that are already rolled & any that they roll during their 3 attempts. If successful, the bluffing player (the liar) pays them one game coin. If unsuccessful, they pay the liar one game coin.
If the claim of 18 is
challenged & proven to be a lie
, the challenging player (the player who correctly called the bluff) wins one game coin. The bluffing player (the bad liar) must then roll to keep their game coin. The same rules apply. Three rolls. Keep any 6s. If successful, the liar keeps their game coin. If unsuccessful, they pay the player who caught them in a lie one game coin. That means the challenger could win up to two game coins.
If the claim of 18 is
challenged & shown to be true
, the challenging player loses a game coin & the poor player who cast the true 18 earns nothing.
After every challenge, whether the declaration is proven to be true or a lie, the next player casts the dice anew, makes a new claim & another round begins.
The first player to lose all their game coins is granted an extra game coin, a grace known as being "
en la parroquia
" or "on the parish". If any player is caught "shuffling" dice, covertly using one of their fingers (often a thumb) to shift the faces of the dice and change their values, they will be immediately eliminated from the game and branded a "
mete dedo
".
The last player standing—still holding onto some coin—wins!
Other games will also be available to play such as the Tarot of Loka, Malcontent, OuiSi Getty & more.
And yes, of course, you are always welcome to bring your own games to share. Make new friends & lie right to their face!
Tickets: $10 Suggested Donation or RSVP and donate at the door!

For more than 37 generations, this ancient family has cultivated grapes and crafted wines in Monti in Chianti, the “very best area” of Chianti Classico, according to Antonio Galloni.
The family’s roots in Tuscany began with a man named Geremia back in the 10th century, when the name Chianti had yet to be spoken and Tuscany was the scene of many a battle between warring families. The “rocca” of Montegrossi was a strategic post, high up on a crest, providing shelter for traveling dignitaries. For centuries the family guarded the “rocca” and cultivated vines on the sunny slopes of Monti in Chianti. Yet it was in the nineteenth century when Baron Bettino Ricasoli—the “Iron Baron” and future prime minister of a united Italy—created the original formula for Chianti Classico’s blend of grapes.
The Iron Baron was winemaker Marco Ricasoli-Firidolfi’s great-great-great grandfather. Today on the very same land where his forefathers grew grapes, Marco crafts peerless Chianti Classico wines according to the traditions and wisdom of countless generations.
Marco Ricasoli-Firidolfi’s 50 acres of vines are surrounded by 50 acres of olive trees and 250 acres of natural woodland. Estate vineyards are located in Monti in Chianti, a “micro-area” of Gaiole in Chianti. This high-altitude area offers the ideal conditions for ripening Sangiovese perfectly. The estate has farmed organically since 2006, and was organically certified in 2010.

WATTSTAX (1973) – A Legendary Concert Doc and One of the Great LA Films! | Philosophical Research Society
Jun 20, 2025 (UTC-7)ENDED
City of Los Angeles
So much more than a concert film,
WATTSTAX
is one of cinema’s most indelible documents of an LA community, its people, its jubilance, its struggles and resolve. As part of YesterdayLA, the Philosophical Research Society’s monthlong exploration of Los Angeles history, 7th House Screenings is proud to present
Mel Stuart’s monumental 1973 documentary
that captures legendary Watts Summer Festival, performances by some of the biggest names in 70s soul and R&B, and a vibrant collage of the people of the Watts neighborhood.
Organized by Memphis R&B and soul label
Stax Records
, the epic August ‘72 festival – held at Los Angeles Coliseum – commemorated the 7th anniversary of the Watts Riots, the 1965 uprising against the racist violence and abuse the Black community suffered at the hands of the LAPD, as well as the residential segregation, discrimination, and poverty that plagued LA. Stax’s West Coast director Forrest Hamilton and its president Al Bell saw the fest as an opportunity not to promote their artists, but to bring the people of Watts, and all of LA, together for a gathering of unity, uplift, and celebration. MC’d by
Jesse Jackson
, then head of Operation PUSH, the concert featured
electrifying performances
by
The Staples Singers, Albert King, The Bar-Kays, Rufus Thomas, Isaac Hayes (celebrating his birthday!) and many more
.
Introduced and hosted by
Richard Pryor
, whose
hilarious stand-up scenes
at a nearby bar punctuate throughout, Stuart’s fantastic film captures not only these performances, but
priceless crowd footage
which captures attendees’ groovy funk fashions and dance moves (notably to Rufus Thomas’ uproarious
Funky Chicken
). Arguably most striking though, as a portrait of the city, are the moments when the cameras venture away from the fest to create a portrait of the people of Watts – on the streets, in a barbershop, restaurant, and Baptist church – reporting on their views and experiences.
Inducted into the Library of Congress for its historical and cultural significance,
WATTSTAX
is truly one of
the
great LA films that delivers an unforgettable theatrical experience, large and loud and beautiful on the big screen and not to be missed!
Dir. Mel Stuart, 1973, 98 mins, United States, English, Digital.
TICKETS: $12 (In Person Event Only)
Please email events@prs.org or phone 323-663-2167 with any questions.

CLASS 2: Contemporary Practices + Class Presentations - 6/27 in person

Cancellation Policy
When we host a class or workshop, we often order the materials to be used in the class well in advance, based on how many people have signed up (and padding a bit for safety). We also use class proceeds to pay our teachers. Although we realize that life has a funny way of getting in the way of the best laid plans, as a small non-profit we cannot afford to carry the burden of lost proceeds and materials. With all that said, here’s our refund policy for in person classes!
– Cancellation with refund or credit requests made
1 week or more (7 days)
before the scheduled session will be honored with gusto! We’ll miss you, but will 100% refund your spot.
– Refunds or class credits requested
less than 7 days
before the scheduled session: We will refund you 50% of your class fee. Why? Because we’ve already ordered the materials.
– Refunds or class credits requested
less than 48 hours
before the class,
on the day of the class
or
after the class has happened
will not be granted.
– Cancellations or refund requests must be made

Hygiene is important at cuddles – it’s easier to get close that way.

Getting Up and Down

Got Any Reviews About These Events?
Being immersed in this world, I'm totally biased about my cuddle events! So let these Yelp reviewers do the talking:
“It was hard for me to wrap my head around what a "cuddle" was and why it would "change my life" but that's exactly what happened. As a single mom and full time caregiver for my disabled child, I had truly stopped taking care of me. Coming to these cuddle nights was the best advice I ever took!”
“This place is an amazing, safe, nurturing container for platonic touch and cuddling...It is a very well run program based on respect, consent and connection. Everyone was warm and friendly and I was completely welcome and comfortable. I'm counting the days to my next workshop.”

Check out my

Community Guidelines
If an incident occurs at an event, I encourage dialogue and repair, when possible, between attendees. If need be I will put together a Community Care Team to help resolve the issue with a restorative justice process.
Before meeting up with or reaching out to someone you've just met at an event, give yourself and that person a few days for your "cuddle chemicals" to settle. Consider at least "three business days" as a good time frame.
Once that time has passed, if you want to hang out socially, and the other person says “no thanks,” be gracious and move on. Just like we do during our events.
Here's Cuddle Sanctuary 's
Code of Ethics

Los Angeles | Saturday Night | Speed Dating | Ages 24-36 | Do You Relish? | Alley Lounge
Jun 21, 2025 (UTC-7)ENDED
City of Los Angeles
It's all about what you Relish and finding someone to Relish those things with. If you're tired of online dating, exhausted by meeting someone only to discover they're nothing like their profile - we offer an alternative. Bringing together comfortably chic venues with a cosmopolitan sensibility. A sophisticated no frills approach to singles events. We've done away with the whistles, name-tags and over the top party trimmings. Unparalleled service and personable hosts all in an environment - just your speed. A fresh alternative to typical events that seem more like a job fair than a relaxed way to connect.
Whether it be a romantic dinner, wine tasting, concert or festival - bar crawl or fitness class - maybe even a Mud Run! Do what you Relish with whom you Relish.
Saturday Night Speed Dating @ RhuBAR | Kitchen & Cocktails at Cambria Hotel Burbank - June 21st 2025
Ages: 24-36 | 5PM
3501 N San Fernando Blvd, Burbank, CA 91505
For more information visit us at: DoRelish.com
Or email us at: info@dorelish.com
http://www.dorelish.com
We think the best relationships are forged when we are comfortable, relaxed and free of pressure. Preferring instead to think of the evening as a casual night out where one can truly be themselves. We do not use traditional 'speed dating' offerings such as bells, whistles and name-tags. Instead we focus on creating an atmosphere conducive to meeting others; a great venue, a personable host and a staff to assist.
Upon registration, you'll be sent an email inviting you to login to your mobile ‘Smart-Card’. As the event begins, log-in to your scorecard and let the flirting begin. You'll be able to choose whom you wish to meet again, to what degree you like them and have until midnight to submit your final selections for matching. Once the clock strikes midnight - return to our platform to see your matches. You can also access your profile via mobile, tablet or PC. Our platform isn't an app so it requires absolutely no downloading and can be accessed directly from our website, anytime.
Should you have any questions - feel free to ask away. Take the time before the event starts to settle in - have a beverage if you would like and mingle should you wish. Chat up our Hosts for tips or simply to ask, which direction the bar is in! After being shown to your table, the ladies will remain seated for the duration of the event. The gents move from lovely lady to lovely lady every six to seven minutes. Your mobile scorecard gives you the ability to see all the participants attending your event, upload your picture, make your selections and be notified of your matches all from your phone.
Don't fret about figuring out if the person is the one or the perfect person for you. Consider it the date before the date. If you choose someone and they chose you - it's a match. You will be given each others first name and email address. The rest is up to you.

Qi Gong, Acupuncture, & Traditional Chinese Medicine- Los Angeles Workshop | Ladera Park
Jun 22, 2025 (UTC-7)ENDED
City of Los Angeles
Qi Gong, Acupuncture, & Traditional Chinese Medicine- Los Angeles Workshop
In this workshop, participants will get a chance to experience the 6 Healing Sounds of Qi Gong 六字訣 at Ladera Park. This will be led by Dorian Lam of Awaken Remedies. This Qi Gong includes simple movements and sounds to support emotional balancing in the Traditional Chinese Medicine elements. This can be done sitting or standing, and is suitable for all ages. We recommend participants dress in warm, comfortable clothing.
Afterwards, Community Acupuncture will be offered in a trauma-informed approach, given seated, or on your yoga mat in a group setting, and treatment lasts around 20 - 30 minutes. Acupuncture needles will go on on the ears, and is great for regulating the nervous system for emotional stress and trauma.
In the time remaining, we will have a casual Q+A with an introduction to the history of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and its holistic health system, and how TCM modalities like acupuncure, cupping, herbs, and qi gong can help support our physical health and emotional body to treat imbalances and prevent illness.
Dorian Lam (she/her) is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, functional medicine practitioner and trauma touch therapist. Her practice is built on a holistic, natural, integrative, trauma-informed, gender affirming, and anti-oppressive perspective. She believes self-healing can only take place in a safe space where we can begin to release the rooted trauma and emotions that led to physical illnesses in the body.
We recommend that you snack beforehand, stay hydrated, bring a hat, with a recommendation to bring your own yoga mat if you want to lay down comfortably for treatment. Some chairs will also be provided.
All acupuncture participants must fill out
Awaken Remedies Community Intake Form
prior to event.
In these times, co-regulation somatically can be powerful in community to welcome the summer season.
