This year, the theme at Slotpress Beach is "Surrealism." During the free West Beach Film Festival, you can relax in a beach chair or hammock while watching movies, enjoying art, music, workshops, and community activities. The first film announced is Tim Burton's *Alice in Wonderland*. Daily film screenings will continue this year, along with a diverse array of events encompassing music, theater, culinary arts, poetry readings, visual arts, and more.

The CAMERA JAPAN Film Festival has grown into the largest Japanese film festival in the Benelux region, attracting tens of thousands of visitors annually. The festival is characterized by its diverse content: in addition to feature films, documentaries, and anime, it focuses on all aspects of Japanese culture, including visual arts, music, dance, and cuisine. The festival returns to LAB111 in October 2026. Each year, the CAMERA JAPAN Film Festival in Amsterdam offers 19 diverse film programs, including the best and latest Japanese art films, animation, LGBTQ+ films, and classic films. In addition to feature films, documentaries, and anime, it focuses on many aspects of Japanese culture, including visual arts, music, dance, and cuisine.
