The Saint Louis Festival is a grand medieval celebration held annually in the summer in Egène-Morte, Gard department, Occitanie. Founded by King Louis IX, the city sits in the heart of a fortified ancient town. The festival features a rich array of activities, including entertainment, historical processions, jousting, a medieval market, banquets, fire shows, and a medieval ball, transporting visitors back to the 13th century. The 2026 Saint Louis Festival will be held from August 21st (Friday) to August 23rd (Sunday), 2026, in Egène-Morte, Gard department. The three-day medieval celebration takes place in King Louis IX's fortified city and includes historical processions, jousting, a medieval market, banquets, balls, and various performances. Additionally, a medieval-themed preview banquet will be held at 7 pm on June 13th (Saturday), 2026, in the courtyard of the Governor's Residence.
