Experience the beauty of Alnoba's eclectic outdoor art collection with an exclusive artist-led tour led by sculptor Joseph Gray. Join Gray on a captivating two-hour walk through the forested trails of Alnoba, where he will share the inspiration behind his spiritually-inspired sculptures. As a master sculptor with four decades of experience, Gray's work is not to be missed. Nestled throughout our campus, his unique pieces can be found among the extensive collection of internationally renowned artists at Alnoba. Gray's sculptures are created using the ancient technique of hammer and chisel, transforming massive blocks of stone into stunning works of art. His Native American background as part Abenaki infuses his art with a deep connection to the earth and nature. During the tour, Gray will guide you through his creative process, revealing how he allows his ancestors and spirit animals to guide his hand. This spiritual experience is one that Gray loses himself in with every sculpture. Please note that space is limited to 15 people, so advanced reservations are required. Dress appropriately for the outdoors, and be prepared for a leisurely-paced walk with breaks. Snowshoes are welcome in winter when the ground is covered in snow.
