WELCOME TO MRS. MARTIN'S ART CLASSESIn Mrs. Martin's Art Classes, young artists will create beautiful one-of-a-kind artwork. They will work in a variety of mediums such as oil pastels, chalk pastels, watercolors and acrylic paints. Artists will also learn new art techniques such as upcycling common household items, collaging and building 3-dimensional pieces. And at the end of each class, artists will be able to take home their masterpieces! -MARCH 2025-DATES: 4 Tuesdays in MARCH March 4March 11March 18March 25TIME: 2:30-3:30 COST: $48 for all 4 classes (supplies are included) AGES: 5 to 11 years REQUIREMENTS: All classes are drop-off. Children must be able to work independently and use basic art tools such as scissors with limited teacher assistance. Children should be able to sit and work on a project for the entirety of each art class (one hour). LOCATION: 460 Investors Place, Virginia Beach, VA 23452 (in the South Court Office Park, to the right of Starbucks and in the Mt. Trashmore area) REFUND POLICY: No refunds unless public health policies change and Mrs. Martin is unable to fulfill her commitment to provide services. At which time, refunds will be given for any remaining cancelled classes. As of April 1, 2022 the wearing of masks is optional for children attending Mrs. Martin's Art Classes. In his 40+ years in the broadcasting and music business, Alan has interviewed the biggest names in rock and is also known as a musicologist and documentarian through programs like The Ongoing History of New Music. He’s currently providing content consulting for 102.1 the Edge and Q107 in Toronto. Outside of radio, Alan’s resume includes five books, hundreds of public speaking engagements, and a national music column for Global News. He’s also constantly engaged in voicework, researching, writing, and consulting for commercials, TV, movies, documentaries, and corporate video. Another major project was The Science of Rock’n’Roll, a travelling museum exhibit that toured science centres across North America. Alan is the host of the true crime podcast Uncharted: Crime and Mayhem in the Music Industry. He also attends music conferences and lectures at schools and events all over the world.Alan has been deeply involved exploring the present and future relationships between music, technology and social networking.
