Experience the vibrant and captivating world of outdoor painting at Arts Plein Air. This exciting event, held in Rye, NH at the Rye Public Library, invites artists from the area to unleash their creativity and capture the beauty of life on canvas. The event takes place on October 14th, with a rain date of October 15th, and begins with check-in for painters on the Rye Library lawn from 9-10 am. From 10 am to 4 pm, you can observe artists painting around town, showcasing their talent and skill. At 4:30-6 pm, there will be a wet paint sale, where you can purchase these unique and beautiful works of art. In addition, there will be a display of artwork created by students, offering a glimpse into the future of plein air painting. Throughout the day, maps will be available at the library to help you locate and observe the painters as they work. This event is part of the RYE400 celebration, which honors the rich history and artistic heritage of Rye and the Isles of Shoals.
