Psychedelic Action conducts a revaluation of current clinical paradigms and develops a roadmap to facilitate the integration of psychedelic therapy into the UK healthcare system. Their Clinical Working Group comprises around 150 world-leading experts in the fields of neuroscience, neurology, psychiatry, pharmacology, and psychology. Award-winning world class jazz trio in Oxford We are delighted to welcome this world class award winning jazz trio for an exciting evening with three musicians of exceptional calibre who are a must see on the European jazz scene. Prepare for a musical voyage: the Trio celebrates the evolution of jazz as a fluid, versatile form of expression with airy, uplifting, textural interplay between the musicians that is sometimes flowing, sometimes propulsive, often emotional, beautifully melodic and always compelling! The synchronised improvisation is a celebration of the skill and versatility of three outstanding musicians: Arild Andersen (b. 1945), legendary Norwegian bass player since the 1960s and Norwegian Knight for his contributions to jazz, is one of Europe’s leading jazz musicians. He had his ECM debut as a member of the Jan Garbarek Group with whom he performed between1967-73. He has subsequently recorded over 20 albums in his own name for the ECM label, with Ralph Towner, Bill Frisell, Kenny Wheeler, John Taylor, Paul Motian and many others. He has also worked with Pat Metheny, Paul Bley, Don Cherry, Sam Rivers and Sheila Jordan. Rob Luft (b. 1993) is an English jazz guitarist and composer of remarkable originality and distinctive voice. He is an ECM artist, collaborating extensively with vocalist Elina Duni, and performing and recording with John Surman. He has recorded three albums with his own quartet for Edition Records and is internationally renowned for his exciting melodic and joyful style and a very much in demand musician. Winner of the Kenny Wheeler Prize and Montreux Guitar Competition, and a BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist, he won Instrumentalist of the Year in 2025 at the Parliamentary Jazz Awards. Daniel Sommer (b. 1987) is a skilled composer and high calibre Danish musician known at home and abroad as a significant figure in improvisation thanks to his deep, sensitive and emotional drumming. He has collaborated with and played as a duo with Arild Anderson, and other internationally renowned musicians, demonstrating his versatility and skill as an outstanding instrumentalist. The trio will perform music from their acclaimed ' As Time Passes ' album, which is the first of a trilogy inspired by Daniel as an artistic exploration of the Nordic music tradition. It brings the three musicians together in an expansive, playful exploration of song and collective improvisation which bridges the generations in a musically rich, creative and beautiful encounter. The trio blends original compositions with structured improvisation, forging a deeper connection across the European Jazz genre. This is their remarkable debut album, recorded in 2024, which has won great accolades including Presto Music’s Jazz Album of the Year. “ As Time Passes is absolutely one of the best jazz albums of the year.” Dick Hovenga - Writteninmusic “ [I have] rarely used the word beautiful without thinking twice. But now it comes to mind. As the only word that truly fits my experience of As Time Passes.” Kim Skotte - Politiken “ Something of a landmark release, and has to rank as one of the finest trio recordings heard anywhere this year.” Mike Gates - ukvibe “ As Time Passes is experienced as a small masterpiece from a trio that has just begun to collaborate. What might it become?” Ole Bisbjerg - All That “ I highly recommend this album and its beauty, created by combining experience and fresh new perspectives!” SKJAZZ - Patrick Španko Information Source: Patricia Wooding | eventbrite

One day in-person workshop to learn foundational skills for facilitating restorative circles. One day in-person workshop to learn foundational skills for facilitating restorative circles. Restorative practice supports people to manage conflict, resolve disputes, and negotiate agreements in criminal justice, health, and education systems , and in family, workplace, residential, faith, and other communities . In all of these contexts, a facilitated restorative circle can support a group of people to make sense of a situation together, then make an agreement about how to improve that situation. This one-day workshop introduces foundational skills for facilitating restorative circles, including circles with large groups of people. The workshop is for people who are (i) new to restorative practice or (ii) experienced with restorative conferences in restorative justice programmes, and interested to explore the use of restorative circles in other contexts. Participants will examine: the types of situations where restorative circles are most effective; the different circle formats most suited to these types of situations; facilitation techniques to use across the different formats; and how these circle processes and techniques can help manage community relationships. You may also be interested in attending our other one day workshop ‘Reimagining and extending restorative practice (for experienced practitioners)’ on the 18th of June 2026. These two workshop days are standalone in content but can be booked together as they are being delivered on adjacent days. This event has been CPD approved by the Restorative Justice Council . Attendees who participate in the full 6 hours of the workshop will receive a certificate for 6 CPD hours. Cost: £100 (early bird) / £120 (full price) Early bird rate is available until 30 April 2026 The workshop is fully catered with tea, coffee, and lunch provided. We are aware that many people can have their registration fees covered by their organisation/employer as part of their CPD and would prefer to be invoiced for the workshop cost.
