Art Club is our after school general art program for elementary schoolers! We'll paint, draw, make comics, create jewelry, sew, and more! Join us in August for the summer camp version! In Art Club, students will have the opportunity to learn a variety of 2D and 3D art techniques in a variety of mediums. We will cover a wide array of topics that change each month, including various painting projects, drawing, comic making, murals, fiber arts, photography, collage, jewelry, paper mache, and lots more. We meet every day for a week, giving kids a chance to try new things each day or deep-dive into a project. It's a great place for kids to socialize, learn and be creative in a supportive and fun environment. This class is taught by AAC staff member Katey Rissi. Schedule: August 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, and 22nd from 9am-12pm. Registration: Please register early if you are able, as it helps us to assure that classes meet their minimums in order to run! If you register more than three weeks before this class begins, a 20% early bird discount will automatically be applied to your ticket at checkout. A Note on Ticket Pricing: We are offering sliding scale tickets in order to keep our classes accessible to as many community members as possible. There are three price tiers. Sustaining tickets help us continue to invest in programming. Full price tickets cover the costs associated with running classes. Accessibility tickets are priced below what it costs for us to run a class. If the cost of a full price ticket is a hardship, we encourage you to purchase a sliding scale ticket. If you can pay the full price or sustaining price, please choose that option so we can keep providing arts programming to the community. Tuition Assistance: Tuition assistance is available for Alchemy classes and workshops if finances are a barrier. Apply for tuition assistance here. Information Source: Alchemy Art Center | eventbrite

Welcome to the 2025 Pacific Northwest Retreat ! We are excited to be hosting an in-person retreat from August 29 - September 1 for singles within the Reformed community. Join us at Emmanuel Reformed Baptist Church for a weekend of rejuvenation, reflection, and encouragement with a focus on Bible teaching and fellowship set against the beautiful mountains of western Washington! Families of ERBC will provide accomodation and breakfasts. Alternatively, if you prefer to organize your own lodging, we can recommend hotels nearby for you. The Theme The theme of this retreat, " C hristian Friendship " - If we are going to have those special, deep friendships and hold onto them for the course of our lives - even see them mature over a lifespan - it's important that we remind ourselves, rather frequently, of the benefits and the rewards of such deep friendships. These outweigh the risks or the cost factors. In other words, there's more to gain than to lose. The Speaker Gordon Cook , the pastor of Grace Baptist Church of Canton, Michigan, will be our speaker for this year. He was born in Ontario, Canada. He grew up with his three brothers as the son of a mining engineer and lived in many places throughout Canada. He was graciously drawn to Christ at the age of sixteen after a serious car accident. After receiving a B.Th. from Ontario Bible College, Gordon also completed a B.A. at the University of Waterloo. In addition, he completed the three and a half year program of ministerial training at Trinity Ministerial Academy in Montville, NJ. Gordon taught for two years at a Christian school in Canada before being called to serve as pastor at Grace Baptist Church in 1987. He has been happily married for twenty-six years to his wife Heidi, and they are the grateful parents of their son, Landon. Information Source: Emmanuel Reformed Baptist Church | eventbrite

Here's a secret about how we book our shows: it is nearly always artists who I know and love and who I reach out to through their management. It is really rare that a musician reaches out to us and we book them. John Depew cold emailed us a few month ago. I clicked on his links because I'm a reasonable human, but my expectations were low. 45 minutes later, I'd exhausted his available Youtube videos, was fully on Team Depew, and reached out to schedule a date. Honestly, I didn't make it through the Chicken Fried video below before I knew this'd be a cool night of live music. If you are down for exceptional musicianship and songwriting, traditional and progressive picking, and soul to burn, you won't want to miss this. Elizabethan theatre is flourishing. But will a brand-new Tudor musical romp, in which Good Queen Bess takes to the stage herself, be the making of this heroine or spell the beginning of her downfall? The stage is set for regicidal rivalries, devious dramatics, and plotting playwrights. Beset by misunderstandings and a script that…let’s just say…needs some work, this production promises to be largely historical, always hysterical. As the old saying goes…thy show must go-eth on! ★★★★★ – “So entertaining…laugh-out-loud funny” ★★★★★ – “Riotously fun. Hugely enjoyable” ★★★★★ – “The ultimate British theatrical experience” – Hastings Independent Press ★★★★★ – “Great fun for the whole family…my kids are still talking about it!” On Friday 29th August, join us at Packwood House, National Trust. Bring your own cushions, and camping-chairs and join us on our 10th anniversary open-air adventure. Come prepared for the weather - the performance will continue come rain come shine! This performance is an outdoor performance. We recommend that you bring blankets/chairs/cushions etc. to sit on. Come prepared for the weather with warm coats and waterproofs etc, as the performance will continue come rain come shine! We ask that you don’t bring umbrellas as these can obscure the view for other people in the audience. 7pm start time, gates open from 6pm. The performance will last approximately 100 minutes (+ a 20 minute interval). Picnics are welcome at this performance. We recommend booking tickets for this performance online in advance. The what, why and how of: Roll-downs vs drop-offs.Body position tricks. The usual mistakes.Low-speed vs high-speed drops.Commitment / driving the bike.Variations pros and cons.We will open your eyes to a whole new world of tackling drops in a safe and reliable way. You'll be having more fun, amazing your mates…and probably yourself too. Drops are a high-consequence scary feature, if you follow most of the internet advice. With our approach you’ll have the best understanding of what's happening to your bike and body as you go over drops, we’ll get in lots of practice and test you in ways that are super effective while managing the risk of progression, and give you all the puzzle pieces to conquer the rough natural drops you see on trails and not just smooth man-made ramps. You must have completed our A Solid Base clinic and be happy with applying the techniques taught there. Just like our 301 Jump On Control clinic, this is considered a level above all of our 200 level clinics because riding drops well requires a reasonable level of bike coordination to add consistent timing of your movements. But as long as you've completed the 102 A Solid Base (a required prerequisite) and have practiced the content then you'll be ready for this. We will not be finding large drops to send it off, but we will have challenges for you that are guaranteed to progress you well above your current level. You will get the most out of this session if you are able to let off the brakes over rough sections of trail, can lift the front wheel into the air reliably and are comfortable riding through tabletop jumps regardless of getting airtime. We will work through each of these skills for any skill level. If you are parking at the Trail Hub, plus drop a gold coin in the box to go towards the facilities, or purchase an annual parking pass. Standard information: You MUST have attended the A Solid Base clinic before taking part in this clinic. 1xx courses do not have a prerequisite. All others can only be attended after completing '102 A Solid Base'.You MUST be present from the start of the clinic. If you miss our safety talk we are not able to have you join the group. This is for everyone's well-being, and is a requirement enforced on us that we can’t make exceptions for. We suggest arriving at least 15 minutes early to ensure you and your bike are prepared and ready to go on time.3xx clinics are considered more advanced than the 2xx clinics because they add the idea of “correct timing”, however that does not mean these clinics are only for “advanced” riders. You will need to provide your own bike. This course is targeted at adults, but we allow children to come along if they are accompanied by a ticket-holding parent and find this works well.Requires 3 attendees for the event to run, or the event will be rescheduled. Quantumverse 2030 – Transcendence The Transcendence Era represents an extraordinary inflection point in human history, defined by the dynamic convergence of revolutionary technologies across diverse domains. This epoch promises to eclipse previous boundaries of intelligence, productivity, connectivity, and human capability, ushering in a time period of unparalleled transformation at scale. From artificial intelligence and quantum computing to synthetic biology, computational chemistry, advanced connectivity, fusion energy, brain-computer interfaces, and new material sciences, this era signifies not merely incremental progress but a profound leap in human potential and economic opportunity. The interplay of ideas and innovations across these fields will catalyze exponential advancements, transforming visions once relegated to science fiction into tangible realities. The world is in the midst of a race to build sovereign sentient AI infrastructure to radically rethink the industries that will run on it. Somehow exponential fails to capture the moment, the once in a lifetime transformation cycle that will reshape the global GDP in profound ways. At its core, the Transcendence Era encapsulates the complexity and boundless promise of this transformative period. For years, Mobile Future Forward has been the unparalleled vanguard of industry evolution—igniting breakthrough ideas and shaping its trajectory with visionary foresight. Through the steadfast collaboration of our partners and the unwavering support of our community, we are assembling a constellation of pioneers, luminaries, disruptors, and trailblazers—who will brainstorm the path forward. Together, we will transcend conventional boundaries, challenge entrenched paradigms, distinguish substance from spectacle, and redefine the possibilities of human achievement. This year, we boldly embrace Quantumverse 2030: Transcendence , setting the stage for a paradigm shift that will redefine our world. Join us in Sept as we embark on a journey to invigorate innovation and explore novel ideas that will shape technology and humanity.
