The ceremony also observed Harriet Tubman Day, which is tomorrow. The monument stands in Harriet Tubman Square, at the intersection of Washington and Broad Streets, in downtown Newark.

On May 17th at The Trout Club, 4-man teams will come together to compete in the golf tournament to win awards, and recognition, and enjoy a sport they love while supporting the next generation. Registration will open at 8 am and the tournament will begin at 9 am. It will be a 4-man scramble, meaning, each team will start on 1 of the 18 holes, each person on the team will drive the ball from the tee box and the team will then pick the best ball of the 4 and play from that spot moving forward. The Trout Club will assist with scoring the tournament and tracking the outcomes of different contests that will take place throughout the day. There will be a light breakfast available to all players during check-in.
