It's a Hawaiian cultural celebration that begins with a Royal Court Inauguration ceremony on September 5, 2026, where attendees wear formal attire reserved for the highest-ranking Aliis, followed by an opening ceremony at the Royal Grove. Waikiki Hoolaulea, Hawaii's largest street party, takes place on September 19, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., featuring local food, music, and entertainment; the Aloha Festival Flower Parade takes place on September 26, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Kalakaua Avenue.

The Volcano Arts Center (VAC), located on the Kilauea volcano, is dedicated to the promotion and perpetuation of arts and culture. The vibrant location inspires a passion to share authentic Hula Kahiko performances and other hula arts and traditions. VAC, with support from the Hawaii Tourism Authority's Kukulu Ola program, is proud to announce free events to promote and perpetuate Native Hawaiian arts and culture. On the second Saturday of each month, join the Volcano Arts Center for a free, live hula performance. Performances are presented in an authentic outdoor setting, rain or shine, without electronic amplification. The Volcano Arts Center is a nonprofit arts and educational organization founded in 1974 to promote, develop, and perpetuate the artistic and cultural heritage of the Hawaiian people and environment through visual, literary, and performing arts events.

This exhibition, opening on May 10, 2026, will showcase the immense efforts the U.S. Navy made during the Cold War to return the battleship USS Missouri to active service. Through never-before-seen archival photographs and artifacts, visitors will relive the crew's experience of reviving the slumbering Missouri and leading her on her historic circumnavigation of the globe. Located on the ship's forehand dining deck, the exhibition will be open to the public from Sunday, May 10, 2026, until May 2027.
