Festival highlights include Pasquale Esposito, Mike Marotta with the Italian All-Stars, the Anthony Lane band, and new additions in 2026: Jimmy Rossi with Luca de Paulis and the band Search and Lost. The San Diego Rowing Club (SDRC) warmly welcomes athletes of all ages to participate in a free Learn to Row Day event. Taking place on September 24th, 2023, the event offers two sessions for different age groups. The first session, from 9:00am to 10:00am, is exclusively for high school students in grades 8-12. Following this, the second session from 10:00am to 11:00am is open to adults. During the Learn to Row Day, participants will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of rowing, both on land and on the water. They will receive instruction on using the rowing machine, commonly known as the ergometer or "erg." Additionally, participants will learn about boat parts, launch boats, and experience rowing in the picturesque Mission Bay. To ensure a smooth experience, all participants are requested to arrive ten minutes prior to their session start time. The first session will feature a detailed timeline, including sign-in and introductions, erg training, boat parts introduction, on-water rowing, and boat cleaning.
