Sforza Castle Open-Air Arts Festival | Milan
Celebration
The Sforza Castle Open-Air Art Festival, now in its 14th year, transforms the medieval castle courtyard into a giant open-air theater over three months, accommodating up to 2,300 people. Enjoy performances with the evening breeze blowing, the ancient stone walls against the starry sky—the atmosphere is simply breathtaking, perfect for taking photos. After the performances, you can also visit the castle museum for free during closing hours, experiencing both historical sites and artistic performances in one place. Under the Milanese stars, a grand event has taken place, bringing together many renowned Italian and international singer-songwriters and emerging musicians, while also paying tribute to numerous music legends. Soloists, orchestras, bands, choirs, and symphonies will take you on a musical journey across various frequencies and dimensions; you'll also enjoy music that engages with dance, film, and literature. From August 1st to 25th, the castle stage transforms into a film arena, hosting the Milan Film Archive Film Festival, screening classic and cult films, and hosting special events.
