Vulcan VIP Visits are your opportunity to experience Vulcan XL426 in her hangar at London Southend Airport away from the crowds and are ideal for enthusiasts and photographers. VIP Visitors are given a guided tour of XL426 by an experienced guide before climbing the crew ladder to go into the Vulcan’s cockpit and the opportunity to sit in either the pilot's or co-pilot's seat and one of the rear crew seats. Outside the cockpit, VIP Visitors will be able to meet the Trust’s engineering team and learn more about their work maintaining and restoring XL426. On the day of your visit, XL426 will be in the middle of its winter servicing programme, which will give you an in-depth view of the work involved maintaining this British and Cold War aviation icon. The hangar tour includes a look behind the scenes to see the Trust's workshops and engineering activities not normally seen by the public. Arrival is from 9.00 am for a prompt start at 9.30 am. Each Vulcan VIP Visit lasts approximately four hours and must be booked in advance. All VIP Visitors must be aged 16 or over. The maximum number of visitors on each Vulcan VIP Visit is limited to just 10. Each visit costs £70.00 per person and includes a welcome presentation with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits.For the dates of all out Vulcan VIP Visits in 2026, please go to Vulcan VIP Visits 2026 . Andy Fairweather Low and The Low Riders Date: 20 March 2026 Location: Mill Hall Andy Fairweather Low came to prominence as the lead singer in Amen Corner. The 60s saw them clock up hit after pop hit. Songs such as 'Bend Me Shape Me', 'Hello Suzy', '( If Paradise is ) Half As Nice' are internationally remembered to this day. But if you were paying close attention, you might have picked up a clue in their first single the magnificent ‘Gin House’ as to Andy’s future musical collaborations. Since the early days Andy has gone on to work with Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, David Crosby, The Band, Elton John, Roger Waters, David Gilmour, The Who, BB King, Joe Cocker, Steve Winwood, Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris, Joe Satriani,, Jeff Beck, The Impressions, Lonnie Donegan, Mary J. Blige, Georgie Fame, Bonnie Raitt, Otis Rush, Van Morrison, Chris Barber, Jackson Browne, Bill Wyman, Sheryl Crow, Pete Townshend, Kate Bush...... and literally hundreds more. Now following a solo path, his first solo album in 24 years Sweet Soulful Music was released in 2007 followed by The Very Best Of Andy Fairweather Low in 2008. Andy has been touring and releasing CD Albums ever since and has built a strong following having now released 10 Albums including a Three disc Box Set DVD / Double Live CD which debuted in the Amazon Box Set Top 50 in it’s first week of release. In 2023 he released the Flang Dang album which in 2025 was superseded by his latest release The Invisible Bluesman. Eric Clapton invited Andy to perform as a featured artist at the 2023 Crossroads Guitar Festival in Los Angeles and again with his band The Low Riders to open the UK & Ireland leg of his 2024 tour & the UK / European dates on his 2025 tour. A remarkable front man, a remarkable band. Following them into 2025 Andy’s The Invisible Bluesman Album entered the Official UK charts at Number 1 and the Spring tour broke all records selling 99% across the whole tour. Nestled in Hertfordshire, the Lee Valley White Water Centre offers a stunning backdrop for athletes, surrounded by a scenic regional park. This venue hosts a 10K and a half marathon, both starting and finishing at the White Water Centre and extending into the breathtaking regional park. The course is entirely traffic-free, flat, and fast, providing the perfect opportunity to set personal bests while enjoying the magnificent surroundings. Participants have a maximum time limit of 3 hours, after which marshals and timekeepers may no longer be available. The course includes two water stations per lap, with additional water provided at the finish line.
