Since 2004, the event has attracted thousands of dancers, amateurs, and curious onlookers to gather around the huge wooden dance floor erected on Place de Munich—opposite Esplanade des Quinconces. For nearly three weeks, the festival offers free introductory dance classes daily, covering a wide range of dance styles (rock, salsa, chizumba, tango, bachata, street dance, traditional dances, etc.), followed by large-scale themed dance evenings organized by various Bordeaux dance schools and associations.
