Popular Weekend Events in Sendai (August Updated)

The fireworks display at the Izumi Ward Hometown Festival, a summer tradition in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, was a spectacular event, attracting numerous visitors. Paid seating was once again available this year to ensure the fireworks remain a beloved summer tradition for locals. Visitors could avoid the crowds and enjoy the fireworks from seats at the Sendai Yurtec Stadium, adjacent to the fireworks display venue, "Yamaichi Sustainable Development Park Shichikita Park." Approximately 3,000 large fireworks illuminated the night sky, bringing the festival to a perfect close.
