The theme of the winter carnival in Shahu Scenic Area is "Ice and Fire Fusion, Gilded Years". The event has a winter fishing core area, a snow bathing and ice playing area, a celebrity check-in area, an ice and fire fusion area, and an ice-breaking tour area. Visitors can experience ice fishing, ice hot pot, ice park and other projects and enjoy the fun of winter ice and snow.

"Shapotou Festival" mainly tells the past and present of Shapotou by adapting the ancient legend of "Gui Kingdom and Shatuo Kingdom" in Shapotou, Zhongwei. The plot mainly revolves around the protagonists Prince Gui (representing the ancestors of Zhongwei) and Prince Sha (representing desert disasters or sand demons) competing for the marriage of Princess Changhe (representing the Yellow River, symbolizing life and the future). As a result, Prince Gui and Princess Changhe got married and successfully resisted the invasion of the sand demon, sketching a "war" picture of people advancing and sand retreating; interpreting the great feelings of Zhongwei people who have long used their lives to protect their homes and used wisdom to change the environment to resist the invasion of the desert, and created the current Shapotou tourism resources integrating the desert, the Yellow River, oasis and mountains, realizing the harmonious development of man and nature.

"Goodnight, Mom," a Pulitzer Prize-winning play by American playwright Marsha Norman and the new directorial work of Li Siyao, will be performed at the Yao Theater. The story revolves around a late-night conversation between a mother and daughter, beginning with an initial argument and moving on to a reflection on life, ultimately leading to an unexpected conclusion as they explore the meaning of life. As a play focused on women, "Goodnight, Mom" extends its perspective to more universal social issues such as family and kinship, life and dignity, addressing the life challenges that everyone faces.

The 2nd Huaboyuan Mountain and Sea Lantern Festival will kick off from December 27, 2025 to March 8, 2026. This year's activity revolves around "one loop, four zones, and three points": the "loop" follows the touring route featuring mythical creature floats, IP flash performances, and interactive murder mystery games; the "four zones" include the main stage at Mountain and Sea Theater, 3D water dance light show at Water Show Theater, iron flower and fireworks display at Fireworks Theater, and bonfire night at Campfire Theater; additionally, three themed lantern zones with NPC performances form the "three points" of immersive shows. During the lantern festival, visitors can enjoy 72 intangible cultural heritage iron flower performances, combined with fire pots, fire dances, and fireworks displays, creating a visual feast of golden skies and falling stars. Additionally, the festival features a special food district with sections dedicated to Ningxia, Sichuan, and national cuisines.
