Arts Painting
I'm back for another Reconnect With Your Womb Painting Workshop. These sessions are creatively empowering and encourage you to dive into your response to the topic of the womb. For me the womb's a subject that at times has meant a lot of pleasure and others, a lot of discomfort (hello period pain and body insecurity). What I've found is that painting these feelings creates so much love and acceptance. If you think about it, both the pleasure and the pain are taboo, which is something that can hold us back from living deeply connected and in our bodies. Art is the medicine I offer to engage and heal from the stigma. What I invite is that you come as you are, perfectly you. We will paint together and explore the womb as a painting topic with some meditation and tea. I've been working with a spiritual teacher since 2016 who has helped me to come to more acceptance in my body, as well as a lot of joy and deep peace. I'm also trained in meditation teaching with The Forest Bathing Institute, and I have a mental health first aid training certification. From my experience I create a space that is as safe as possible to make sure that this topic gets the depth of exploration it deserves. I hope to see you at this worshop. Contact me at theodoraprice.art@gmail.com for any enquiries. Make sure to send me the email of anyone you book tickets for. Thankyou. Information Source: Theodora Price | eventbrite

Books in the Brewery invites you to celebrate the release of The Bad Bridesmaid, the delightful new romantic comedy from bestselling Western Australian author and Queen of Australian romantic fiction, Rachael Johns. Rachael will be discussing The Bad Bridesmaid with fellow romcom author Claire Christian in a joyful evening filled with storytelling and romance, audience Q&As and book signings. Like all good weddings this will be an evening soundtracked by hit songs from all of our favourite romantic comedies, with drinks and canapes on arrival. Books will be available to purchase on the night. 6pm - Welcome drinks and nibbles 645pm - Acknowledgement of country and introduction 7pm - A conversation with Rachael Johns 745pm - Audience Q&A followed by book signings Dancing to follow. Suggested dress: Island Wedding The Bad BridesmaidWhen serial dater Winifred Darling – Fred – is asked to be the maid of honour at her mother’s sixth wedding, she’s determined to do everything in her power to stop it. As the author of a forthcoming book called 21 Rules for Not Catching Feelings, she knows better than most about the perils of falling in love. On arrival at the island wedding destination, Fred is delighted to discover that the groom’s hot muso son Leo is just as set against the wedding as she is. Together, they come up with ‘Operation Break-Up’ to prevent their parents from making what they believe will be a catastrophic mistake. But as Fred and Leo get to know each other better, their unexpected feelings for each other create further complications, and Fred is forced to rethink her own rigid rules about romance and family. Maybe not every relationship has to play by the book, and could Fred become the star in a romcom of her own? A heart-warming friends-to-lovers romance about the magic and mayhem of weddings – and what happens when everything you thought you knew about love is turned upside down. ‘Prolific, entertaining and charming, Rachael Johns is arguably the best romantic writer in Australia.’The Australian Rachael JohnsOnce upon a time (briefly) Rachael was an English teacher, then her dreams of becoming a novelist came true. Now she spends her days writing romance and women’s fiction in the Swan Valley, Western Australia. Her book The Patterson Girls won the ABIA Award in 2016 for General Fiction and she has also won the prestigious Romance Writers of Australia RUBY Award twice. When she’s not writing, you’ll find Rachael reading, occasionally sewing, hanging with her adorable Sheepadoodle or listening to audiobooks while driving around or cleaning up after her three sons. The only TV show she watches is The Farmer Wants a Wife and every year she says she’ll read more non-fiction but fails because there are too many good novels waiting to be devoured. Rachael loves to hear from her readers and can be contacted on Facebook, Instagram and Substack. She also runs the Rachael Johns’ Online Book Club, which you can join on Facebook.
