Since its premiere in 1991, Blue Man Group has performed in 25 countries around the world, with resident performances in Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas and other places, with a global audience of more than 50 million. Blue Man Group has not only won Grammy and Emmy nominations, but has also appeared in popular programs in various countries as a pop culture element. In 2016, it crossed the ocean to China and set off a blue storm in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou; in 2017, it was invited by the "Tmall Double Eleven Gala" to land in Shanghai and brought a unique performance; in 2019, it was performed at the Shanghai 1862 Fashion Art Center for two weeks, and tickets were hard to come by.

After five years, the "Shanghai Blue Man Show" has returned with a bang, bringing the audience an audio-visual feast with international level details! It uses all imported original costumes and props, and senior blue man actors, carefully created by the original team of "Blue Man Show".
The new female character "Rockstar" is added to replace the traditional live band and present a perfect music performance.
A blend of classic and innovation, the "Shanghai Blue Man Show" has been comprehensively upgraded with elements of the Magic City perfectly integrated, and the Shanghai limited segment is waiting to be opened.
Like blue and fire, blending and rebirth
ROJO Art Space, the resident performance venue of "Shanghai Blue Man Show", is located at No. 570 Huaihai West Road, Changning District, and is an important part of the new commercial complex - Shanghai A.F.A. With the unique value of cultural heritage buildings with heavy industrial imprints and artistic precipitation and large-scale urban ecological parks, the Shanghai A.F.A project takes culture, ecology and technology as its concepts, integrates Art, Park, Digital Operation and business, and will open a new cultural experience place in Shanghai, becoming a new benchmark for urban cultural creativity.
The "Shanghai Blue Man Show" is equipped with high-end audio and video equipment, including 77 L-Acoustics speakers, 172 ACME and multi-brand computer lights, and a liftable LED screen, which together present the world's high-end audio and video experience.
The name "ROJO" of ROJO Art Space comes from the Spanish word for "red", which symbolizes the fiery history of its predecessor, the steel mill, and also foreshadows the new look of this cultural and artistic park in the new era. In the future, "Shanghai Blue Man Show" and ROJO Art Space will work together to create a new life for Shanghai drama and open a new art and entertainment feast.

Jerusalem-born artist Mirna Bamieh’s exhibition, Sour Things, is the first season of the new Lightless Fires series (2024-26), an art research project organized by ICA Shanghai. Lightless Fires explores fermentation as a metaphor and method to explore collective memory, spontaneous archiving, and historical writing. Bamieh created Sour Things, a site-specific interactive installation that incorporates text, ceramics, painting, sound, and video to reflect on the fermentation process. Sour Things is set in markets, kitchens, and storerooms, and will also be introduced to other residential spaces in the future. Through different scenes of domestic life, she responds to the specific sociopolitical situation in Palestine that has displaced Bamieh. Through the ongoing Sour Things series, Bamieh continues to ask: When a person is in a state of transition, between here and there, can and how should they preserve (food and/or history) over the long term? People need to settle in a place to ferment and pickle, but maybe preservation can happen anywhere?
