Jill utilizes traditionally “heavy-duty” techniques such as welding steel and soldering brass and silver while also repurposing highly curated vintage objects into whimsical and beautifully delicate scenes. Jill’s work has been featured in multiple gallery and museum exhibitions as well as winning the City of Baltimore Mayor’s Individual Artist Award (now called the Independent Artist Award) and the 2023-2024 Municipal Art Society of Baltimore City Travel Artist Prize. About this Class: Over 8 weeks, you will explore one of improv's most popular and foundational performance forms, the Monoscene. The monoscene is an entire longform improv show set in one location, in real time. No jumps, no edits, no cuts, no escape from the choices you make. The monoscene can be one of the most rewarding improv formats as you get to explore characters and relationships with real depth, like a great play. This class is designed for moderate to experienced improvisers looking to dive deep into patient play focusing on character development and relationships. You’ll build the skills to sustain tension, craft memorable characters, and learn to let things breathe. When she grew up, Yvonne’s problem-solving power took her to NASA, where fellow engineers had a serious problem with the Saturn V rocket’s F-1 engine: It had hot spots—high temperatures in the engine.
