Los Folkloristas están cumpliendo 58 años de trabajo ininterrumpido de investigación musical de las expresiones culturales y rescate de las raíces folklóricas de México y Latinoamérica; incorporando este conocimiento a su repertorio y divulgando tanto en México como en otros países, la riqueza de su música folclórica. El grupo Los Folkloristas presenta en sus conciertos de una hora y media aproximada, un programa con variados ejemplos musicales, populares y tradicionales de México y otros países Latinoamericanos. El concierto realiza un recorrido por temas del folclor de Bolivia, Chile, Venezuela, Perú, Panamá, Cuba, Ecuador, Colombia y México, entre otros. Incluyen temas de su repertorio histórico como “Tierra Mestiza” del compositor Gerardo Tamez e incluirán temas de su más reciente producción “Cantando con la muerte”, así como repertorio nuevo. En el concierto Los Folkloristas ejecutan más de 65 instrumentos para ejemplificar cada uno de los géneros de cada país, respetando los instrumentos típicos con los que se tocan en cada región y que han ido adquiriendo a lo largo de su trayectoria.
