The official Independence Day of Blacks in America. This holiday commemorates the end of slavery —which wasn’t until two years after Abraham Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation and the . Known to some as the country’s “second Independence Day.” Juneteenth celebrates the freedom of enslaved people in the United States at the end of the Civil War. It is believed that many enslaved people still did not know they were free. As the story goes, some 250,000 enslaved people only learned of their freedom after Union General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865, and announced that the president had issued a proclamation freeing them. BEAUTÉ NOIR FEST is truly a celebration of Juneteenth and its history and what it means and stands for with regards to freedom of life, economics, education, arts/entertainment, food and the black culture as a whole. SNEAKER CON RETURNS TO ATLANTA ON JUNE 28TH 2025! When we produced our first event in a hallway of a comedy club in Times Square New York, with just 20 vendors, we never imagined what Sneaker Con would become or the amount of lives that this platform would change. Today, each event can host anywhere from 300-500 vendors, brands, and partners. Our goal has always been to serve the community and create a path for new sneakerheads to enter our world of buy, sell and trade. In 2013, we introduced Sneaker Con Authenticated (LEGIT) as a free service to protect buyers and sellers alike. Today, that service continues to be free at our "AUTHENTICATED" booth at every event. That same year we introduced Ace Of Customs, a platform that would highlight artists, designers and creators from our culture through events, competitions, content and social media. Many of the "customizers" we highlighted were able to quit 9-5 jobs and make a career, and a handful now work for the biggest sneaker brands (ie: Nike, Jordan, Adidas, etc). When we introduced the Trading Pit in New York 2014, it was meant to give every buyer and seller an opportunity and a place to come up. No matter how small or big their collection was. Over the years we have seen many grow from kids with one pair in "the Pit", to adults with thousands of shoes spread across multiple vendor tables and legitimate business and careers. Remember when Youtube engagement exploded in 2015. We made Sneaker Con a platform for content creators and influencers to gain access to the culture, the most sought after products, build brands of their own, and most importantly come face to face with their fanbases. Our main stage, Sneaker Conversations, became an educational platform and turnt up our events to another level of entertainment. Then came, Sneaker Con Hoops! With the help of our roster of creators we put together some of the biggest amateur basketball events in the world. Hardwood floors, bleachers, referees, and even uniforms combined with some of the biggest influencers in the game brought thousands out to watch, mostly, non-athletes competing in basketball. It was impactful, it was viral, and soon after led to the biggest surge in streetball/pickup basketball content since And1 mixtapes. In 2017 we decided to prove that we truly are the "Greatest Sneaker Show On Earth" by bringing Sneaker Con and the culture to international communities. We started in London, UK and followed that with Canada, Hong Kong, and Australia. In recent years we have expanded to multiple cities in China, added cities in Canada, as well as Osaka Japan, Singapore, Germany and Sao Paulo Brazil. For 2024, we have an amazing international tour planned with 4 stops in Japan, adding Mexico City, Seoul Korea, and some more surprise locations. As a brand, we have designed over 500 products in our 15 years and have collaborated with the likes of Jeff Staple, Diamond Supply Co., Steven Harrington, A Bathing Ape, Sean Wotherspoon, Jeff Hamilton, Spalding, Crocs, Mitchell & Ness, eBay, MGM Resorts, and the list goes on. We have many more new products, partnerships and limited drops coming in 2025. Henry Louis Aaron lived an extraordinary life. Henry Aaron was born in Mobile, Alabama in 1934 and grew up playing baseball whenever he got a chance, inspired by Black baseball players he followed in the negro leagues. At that time, baseball in the United States was segregated and the major and minor leagues did not allow Black baseball players. Forty years later, on April 8, 1974, in Atlanta, Georgia, Henry Aaron would break Babe Ruth’s homerun record providing one of the most exciting moments in both baseball and Atlanta history. Aaron overcame obstacles through personal determination and incredible acts of bravery at each step of his journey.

Atlanta Art Fair returns to Pullman Yards this September 25–28, 2025 to build on the expansive momentum of the fair’s inaugural edition. As a continued catalyst for cultural enrichment and artistic exchange, Atlanta Art Fair 2025 will feature an inclusive roster of compelling programs and a diverse collection of innovative events, talks, performances, and installations that work to enhance the city’s existing community of artists, galleries, institutions, and collectors. Atlanta Art Fair is under the leadership of Fair Director Kelly Freeman, working alongside Artistic Director Nato Thompson and Atlanta-based advisors Tim and Dirk von Gal, founders of the Intersect Art Fair group.

Kim Chong Hak, Painter of Seoraksan introduces the work of prolific Korean painter Kim Chong Hak to American audiences for the first time. Born in 1937, Kim lived through multiple conflicts and significant societal upheavals, including the Japanese colonization of Korea (1910–1945), the splitting of North and South Korea (1948), the Korean War (1950–1953), the turbulent democratic movements of the 1970s and 1980s, and ongoing tensions between the divided nations.Throughout all of this, Kim sought to respond to and express the impact of these often-traumatic changes to daily life in Korea. While many of his peers focused their attention on abstract, formal, and process-based explorations in their art (termed Dansaekhwa or monochromatic art) as a response to limits on sociopolitical representation and agency, Kim rejected this direction and instead turned to the Korean landscape.

Join us for the NCAF 1st Annual 5K Run/Walk in Honor of JaQuetta Garrison. Celebrate the life and legacy of JaQuetta Garrison with a casual run or walk through beautiful Grant Park in Atlanta. In honor of her birthday, we’re raising funds for the National Coronary Anomalies Foundation (NCAF)—a cause close to her heart. JaQuetta transitioned in November 2024. She loved running with her sisters, and there’s no better way to celebrate her spirit than by moving together on Saturday, June 14, 2025. Whether you’re an avid runner or just in it for a peaceful stroll, this event is for all fitness levels. Lace up your shoes, bring your walking crew, and enjoy a meaningful day in community. Event Details: • All participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt. • 50% of proceeds will go directly to the National Coronary Anomalies Foundation. • The final race location will be confirmed by the end of May, but it will be near downtown Atlanta.
