Exhibitions
Josh Sperling’s solo exhibition “Miracles” will present a diverse range of works, including 68 new works, which will bring a shocking visual feast to the audience with its unique form and bold colors. This exhibition is curated according to the development of Sperling’s interest and research in form and color, allowing the audience to appreciate his works step by step. From the Raw series, which consists of uncolored raw canvas and various circular patterns, to the Spiral, which shows subtle color gradients and texture combinations. outline-style: initial; max-width: 100%;"spiral) and "composite" (composites) series, the exhibition fully demonstrates the artist’s ongoing experimentation and exploration of form, color, texture, and pattern. In the circular exhibition hall on the second floor, Sibo Lin created a "quiggle" mural especially for this exhibition, which was paired with a graffiti bench of the same design, forming a unique site-specific work. Through this space, the artist provides viewers with an opportunity to contemplate in a public environment, while encouraging them to feel and communicate with the work in a relaxed and comfortable manner.

As new technologies have always reshaped artistic boundaries, the gallery committee refrains from gatekeeping of artistic style, innovation, or practice. As such, we are allowing submissions that make use of AI technology. While we allow these new possibilities, the committee also recognizes the valid ethical concerns tied to how AI generative tools acquire their data. We encourage the ongoing debate about whether generating prompts in an AI tool constitutes art. We hold that art is not merely the final product but also in the process and vision of its creator. In keeping with this statement and to provide transparency, we REQUIRE ALL DIGITAL ARTISTS to SUBMIT an AI-USE STATEMENT that indicates if and how AI generative tools were used. (In some cases, recording the process through still images, video and/or screen capture can be a useful and edifying way to reveal process.) The Committee reserves the right to make the ultimate determination as to what pieces will be categorized as Digital Art (hand drawn using digital tools), Concept Art (non-AI character or concept creation), or AI Art. FINAL NOTE: SIZING ART FOR DIGITAL IMAGE SUBMISSION Ideally, each digital image should be be at least 1 MB in file size. 2 to 4 MB is good and 10 MB should be the maximum. The Art Show Judges reserve the right to determine the final printing size of each image; however, to help the committee, you can submit MULTIPLE copies of each image in different sizes suitable for framing. Here are the precise sizes UAC uses for standard framing: (You can add these measurements to the file name for each of your submissions after sizing each one) A1 (492 mm x 692 mm)A2 (392 mm x 492 mm)A3 (292 mm x 392 mm)A4 (202 mm x 292 mm)A6 (92 mm x 142 mm)LARGE SQUARE (532 mm x 612 mm)NOTE: If your work is in a custom size that cannot fit one or more of the above dimensions, you may still submit the work. Sometimes the committee will arrange a custom matte or foam board print for certain images. Information Source: U Asia Arts | eventbrite
