Bartolo is a Brazilian musician and producer that for over more than twenty years has been developing a varied work in terms of genres and styles. On this night he'll present a homage show to the great late Luciano Perrone and the pioneers of the creation of samba's language on the drum kit on the first half of the 20th century. He sampled Perrone's albums Batucada Fantástica and is using the modular synthesizer to create variations in a sequence for a live set. Joel Whitaker is a Brighton based art and music maker, bassist for KEG, with two solo albums released so far, Ascent Of The Flightless Bird (2017) and Rouge (2023). He'll be playing acoustic guitar presenting songs from his albums and new ones he's been working on. BarKino is a fortnightly show on Soho Radio hosted by Pedro Montenegro, that will be DJing before and after the sets.
