Sports & Fitness
This Symposium will provide a look at the top injuries and illnesses from Major League Soccer (MLS) and how to minimize their impact in the future. Hear from soccer experts: primary care sports specialists, orthopaedic surgeons, club sub-specialty consultants, athletic trainers, physical therapists, sports science staff, and strength and conditioning professionals. Clinical topic sessions will be moderator-driven featuring didactic, evidence-based presentations, immediately followed by dynamic case discussions utilizing a team-based approach. Participants will gain knowledge about fundamental soccer specific approaches to the footballer’s ankle, return to play strategies, ultrasound applications in the training room, and more. They will gain highly specific information on the female soccer athlete’s knee, such as ACL enhancing procedures, patellofemoral stability and hormonal bone health considerations. We will approach topics in a team-based format to apply real world decision-making and utilization of the data and entire medical team. Target Audience | This activity is targeted to physicians, athletic trainers, physical therapists, physician assistants, APRNs, strength and conditioning coaches, massage therapists, and psychologists.
