“The Poetry Festival” was created to provide inspiration, joy, and connectivity for the community by way of poetry. The event was proposed to the Greater Columbus Arts Council, by a poet and artist, where it was community reviewed and approved for funding. The festival will take place over the course of two days in partnership with the Columbus Museum of Art on Saturday, September the 28th, and in partnership with the Grange Insurance Audubon Center on Sunday, September the 29th. The two day event will include poetry performances, workshops, vendors, and poetry-inspired art experiences. We're very excited to present Sunday's zine-making workshop with Ty Williams. We’re also thrilled to experience poet Larry Robertson share Earth Based Poems in the magical natural setting of the Audubon. The Ball State Cheerleaders will host a college prep clinic for middle and high school students, transfer students, and current Ball State students at the Shondell Practice Center. The clinic will have two sessions, one All-Girl only and the second Co-Ed only. The All-Girl session will be held from 11:30 am - 2:00 p.m., and the Co-Ed session will be held from 2:30 - 5:00 pm.
