Cultural Experiences
Interested in learning about invasive species of the Catskills region and how you can help stop their spread? Join us for a guided woodland walk at Siuslaw Model Forest in Acra NY. Invasive species threaten our native ecosystems, and can cause economic, recreational, and social harm.
Participants will learn invasive species identification tips, examine the negative impacts invasives have on our forests, and learn about invasive species management practices. We will walk throughout Siuslaw Model Forest and stop at various locations to discuss invasive species and the challenges they pose for our forests in the Catskills region.
