Participants will have the opportunity to respond to artworks in the New Art Gallery Walsall Collection, drawing inspiration from Birds in Flight by Georges Braque, Eagle by Henri Gaudier-Brzeska, and Sketch of Doves by Sir Jacob Epstein. During the workshop, participants will learn three different techniques of drawing with carbon paper. They can choose to focus on one or more of these techniques to create their own carbon drawing. All materials will be provided, but participants are encouraged to bring magazine cut-outs or computer printouts of animals or birds to incorporate into their artwork. Visual aids, such as drawings and photos, along with information sheets will be provided to aid the creative process.
