SiNaCa Studios - School of Glass and Gallery presents Experience Kiln Forming | 2024, a captivating class designed for individuals aged 14 and above who wish to explore the art of kiln-formed glass. This introductory workshop offers an immersive experience where participants will work alongside skilled instructors to gain insights into the equipment, tools, and materials required to transform raw glass into exquisite pieces of art. During this three-hour session, participants will learn fundamental techniques of kiln-formed glass, enabling them to create at least two unique items. By cutting and layering sheet glass with glass frit and stringers, participants will have the opportunity to design a one-of-a-kind 12x6 dish or platter, as well as a seasonal item of their choice from the selection provided. The assembled works will then undergo a 12-hour firing cycle in an electric kiln, ensuring the fusion of layers and the creation of stunning glass art.
