Join the public at the 2024 Kitsap Poggie Club Salmon Derby at Brownsville Marina in Bremerton on August 10, 2024. Compete for the chance to win over $1000 in prizes, with $500 going to the first-place winner. Fishing is allowed from boats only, and each occupant must possess a valid derby ticket purchased for $30. Fish must be caught during the derby's hours of 9am to 2pm in Marine Areas 9, 10, 11, adhering to WDFW regulations. Derby tickets are non-transferable, and sales are final with no refunds given. Contestants may only submit one legal salmon for weighing, with the heaviest fish being the official entry. Prizes will be awarded based on the salmon's weight, with ties broken by the nearest gram. The award ceremony will take place at 6pm on the event day at the lawn west of the boat ramp.
