A day for farmers, by farmers, sharing experiences for improving performance and resilience in a challenging environment. The focus of this year’s event will be adapting to a changing agricultural climate - building resilience in the face of climate and policy change. We’re excited to announce that the Farm Carbon Toolkit Annual Field Day will return this September — a practical day of farmer-led learning, showcasing tools and techniques for profitable, climate-friendly farming. This year’s event will be hosted by The Pink Pig Farm in North Lincolnshire, a business at the forefront of sustainability and innovation. As always, the day will bring together farmers, advisors, and researchers to share real-world insights on reducing farm emissions, building soil carbon, and boosting resilience. Expect a mix of on-farm demonstrations, panel discussions, practical workshops, and farmer case studies. Topics are likely to include: Grazing strategies and nutrient cycling Reducing input reliance Soil and carbon monitoring Opportunities in biodiversity and carbon markets Farm energy and resource efficiency Confirmed speakers include Tim Parton and John Cherry As always, we’ll also announce the winners of this year’s Carbon Farmer of the Year Awards, celebrating farmers who are leading the way in practical, measurable climate action. We are extremely grateful to the Jackson family for hosting us. Sponsors Our Annual Field Day 2025 is kindly sponsored by Yeo Valley , First Milk and Shearwell Data . Opportunities for sponsorship are still available. Please contact us to learn more. Information Source: Farm Carbon Toolkit | eventbrite

"If someone doesn’t put a copyright or trade mark symbol on their work, it’s free to use." “You can get a patent to protect your ideas” "IP protection is too expensive for small businesses." "We can wait until later to protect our IP." "Changing 10% of someone else’s work avoids copyright infringement” "I’m safe from infringement as long as I credit the source." "I own the logo/artwork copyright I commissioned because I paid for it." “There’s no real difference between the ™ symbol and the ® symbol.” "I can ignore someone infringing my rights since it doesn’t affect my business much." “You only need an IP lawyer if you’re suing someone/being sued”. Pitfalls to avoid: Recognise common mistakes in IP creation, protection and management and how to avoid costly consequences. Practical tips: Gain practical advice about identifying and safeguarding the hidden IP assets in your business, and how to prevent common infringement risks.
