Notably, Carter played a pivotal role in the transformation of the Holy Cross Power House into the esteemed Aspen Center for Visual Arts, now recognized as the Aspen Art Museum. Today, he continues to create masterpieces at his studio located along the picturesque banks of the Roaring Fork River in Basalt.
