Experience an enhanced level of fitness and endurance by participating in the Zen Energy Grand Slam Challenge Series 2024 - #2 Willunga. The event kicks off in Willunga on March 24, 2024, at the Willunga Recreation Park. Take on the challenge of five rides, each increasing in distance to test your stamina throughout the year. Ride #2 presents two options: the 50km Mini Slam or the 100km Grand Slam, both starting and ending at the same location. While Mini Slammers complete one loop, Grand Slammers conquer both loops. Registration includes ride details, Nippy’s fruit juices, hydration products, experienced marshals, first aid, a light lunch, snacks, mechanical support, and more. Don't miss this opportunity to push your limits and achieve your cycling goals. Tickets range from $0 to $220. Visit Willunga Library in Willunga during the school holidays to take part in the Be Active Kids Willunga Hunt. Simply drop by the library during opening hours from April 15 to April 28 to collect a Hunt list and engage in a fun and active adventure. The Hunt entails exploring the town on foot to locate various items from the list while enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. The Kids Be Active Hunt guide features twelve activities that are conveniently located within walking distance of the library. Remember to wear comfortable walking shoes, apply sun protection, and be prepared to walk, search, count, ride, and read. After an active session, feel free to borrow a book to unwind. This event is part of the April Be Active School Holiday Program and is ideal for children accompanied by a responsible adult. No reservations are needed; participants can join in at any time during library hours. Parental supervision is essential. Health and safety protocols, including hand sanitization and staying home if feeling unwell, are to be observed. ‘Let’s paint together’ beginner friendly welcoming all artist, imagine sipping and painting amongst the vines in a real live art gallery, join in the fun unleashing your inner artist. Join us for a delightful painting adventure set in the cosy eclectic venue at Magpie Springs winery, there is so much to inspire your hidden talent here as we paint under the verandah or within the gallery of renown artist Avril Thomas. Held fortnightly on Thursday's, drop the kids at school and join in the cheeky weekday fun, get ready to be inspired. Whether you're a complete beginner discovering your inner creativity for the very first time or an accomplished artist already, you'll revel in this fun and encouraging environment. Your teaching artist is Kerry Mart from Creative Beginnings and has a step by step formula to teach you to create your take home masterpiece, here we specialise in uncovering your hidden talent, in a step by step demonstration for you to follow along with, making it super easy, sharing all her tips & tricks you'll be surprised to see your art take shape, all the while encouraging your individual style. For those who'd love to be adventous and just like the idea of creating in company, you are welcome to bring along your own inspiration print out on the day and paint with our equipment and products, I'll happily guide you through the steps to complete your own inspiration if needed. Painting is so much more fun together, make it extra fun and gather your friends💗 What to expect: Sessions are 3hrs, you'll be greeted with a delicious glass of Pinot Noir, just one of the boutique wines available here or substitute for a roasted coffee to kickstart your day. Everything is included to create your take home masterpiece on a gallery style canvas, you'll get to choose your lake view. Bring along your own lunch for a delightful picnic break while your paints are refreshed, the perfect opportunity get to know all the participants and see your art with new eyes, the cellar door is available for you to purchase additional wine, tea, coffee or steamy hot chocolate.
