The car model is very good; it's a classic JDM model with all the necessary functions and easy operation. The only downside is that the fuel tank cap switch is hidden inside the center console armrest, making it a bit hard to find. The dealership was also very easy to communicate with.

The car's condition is understandable given its model, with 145,000+ kilometers. However, the main issue is the dispute over fees: Due to my travel plans, I would be returning the car slightly later than the scheduled return time. Before picking it up, I contacted the rental company and received a late return fee list, calculated by the hour: 4000 JPY for 2 hours and 6000 JPY for 3 hours. The company stated that the next customer would be using the car at 1:30 PM on the same day, requiring me to return it before 12:30 PM. Therefore, I paid 6000 JPY in advance as a precaution against a 3-hour delay. Ultimately, I returned the car 50 minutes late, less than an hour late. However, the company stated that because they had locked the time slot for me, they couldn't refund the time difference even if I returned the car early. Since the daily rental fee was 370 RMB, and I had communicated this beforehand and returned the car within 50 minutes, I feel the 6000 JPY (300 RMB) late fee is a bit high. I hope the owner can help me review whether my request is reasonable. Because if we do this, we can actually save money next time if we don't inform them in advance that we will return the car late. Because I suddenly wanted to visit Mt. Fuji during my trip to Tokyo, I decided to rent a car on the spur of the moment. Perhaps because I wanted to get the car that same day (I fell asleep halfway through searching for a car on Ctrip the night before), I woke up to find only one rental company left, and they didn't have any large cars, just a small 5-seater. Desperate, I hailed a taxi and rushed to Ikebukuro to pick up the car. When we arrived, the Beijing guy warmly welcomed us. Seeing that we had three large suitcases and a 7-year-old daughter with us, he gave us his Nissan MPV, which had just been returned by a client. Since it was freshly picked up and hadn't been cleaned yet, he directed us to a nearby Sukiya restaurant for a quick meal while he cleaned the car. After I got in the car, I checked its condition. Although the car was a few years old, the features were surprisingly high-end, even including power doors – very nice! Most importantly, the space was much larger! Since we only set off for Mount Fuji that afternoon, and were supposed to return the car before 8 AM the next day, we ended up being half an hour late because of the long distance. Surprisingly, the driver didn't ask us for extra overtime pay. The gas tank was half empty, and I didn't have time to fill it up, but he filled it up for me afterwards and sent us a photo of the receipt. I just transferred the money to him via WeChat. After returning the car, he even gave us a free ride to the subway station and suggested we go to a nearby restaurant for dinner. He was so nice! I'll definitely rent a car from him again next time I'm in Tokyo. Although he's in Ikebukuro, which is a bit far from the city center, he said he'd deliver the car to my door next time. This guy from Beijing is truly a gentleman.

Excellent! The address is very easy to find. It provides a very detailed explanation of all the driving rules and regulations in Japan; renting an ETC (Electronic Toll Collection) device is essential and extremely convenient. The only drawback is that you need to be very careful when driving out of the parking lot, as the roads are really narrow and it's easy to scrape your car.

The car rental company staff were all Chinese, so communication was seamless. They called to confirm after I placed the order, and the pick-up location was in Ikebukuro, which was easy to find. The car was very clean and came with a phone charger and phone holder. They explained how to operate the vehicle. Renting a Japanese ETC card is free, but a toll deposit is required. Upon returning the car, they printed out the ETC bill and refunded the remaining deposit on the spot. There was no deposit required for the rental, and they didn't recommend insurance. They even drove us to Otsuka Station after we returned the car. Overall, it was my first time renting a car in Japan, and all my previous worries about language barriers and other problems went very smoothly!
