Jordan is known for its frequent scratches on cars. I was alone, so I drove a compact car, but if you're traveling with others, a midsize or larger car is recommended, as there are many mountainous uphill sections. Pickup at Aquba and return in Amman. One-way fare: 70 JD.
I don't like hassle, so I bought full-coverage insurance locally instead of through Trip.com, but it's about twice as expensive. Just get full-coverage insurance from a platform and drive safely. Amman. It says return at the W Hotel, but the return office isn't in the hotel, but in a nearby building. I wandered around for quite a while. The roads there are complicated, so make sure you know the exact return location. Or, ask for another easy-to-find location. Renting a car is a good option in Jordan, except in downtown Amman.
