Subaru Levorg
I wanted to try driving a Subaru, so I rented a Levorg. Picking it up at the airport parking lot was very convenient. The car was quite old and the paint was peeling in places, but I didn't mind, so I was able to use it without any worries, which was great. There were absolutely no problems with the car's performance or functions. As expected from Subaru's AWD. The only issue was that the ETC (Electronic Toll Collection) system was very unresponsive; the gate wouldn't open due to an error twice. It was very dangerous as I almost hit the gate. The return and pick-up process was smooth and without problems. Thank you very much.

Honda Fit
The car is in excellent condition, only 16,000 kilometers on it, very new. I originally rented a Fit, but switched to a Toyota Raize. The trunk space is large, and more importantly, there's a lower partition that can fit two 20-inch suitcases.

The car was large and comfortable, with comfortable seats and enough space for four suitcases. The staff were very helpful and attentive, providing clear instructions, responding to messages quickly, and were very polite. The shuttle service was also very convenient.

Honda Fit
The car was a Toyota Raze, very new, with a clean and tidy exterior and interior. The trunk could fit a large 29-inch suitcase; since there were only two of us, we put the other suitcase in the back seat. The rental process was a little complicated, requiring an electronic rental method, but the staff were there to help. The return process was very simple and quick. A rental company I would recommend!

There was no shuttle service, but it was easily within walking distance from Sapporo Station. Sapporo itself has a well-developed public transportation system, so I felt like I didn't really need a car to get around the city. However, I thought a car might be necessary when going to the mountains or Shiroi Koibito Park, so I would recommend choosing the dates carefully and planning your rental car usage. I was anxious about driving on unfamiliar roads, so I initially purchased insurance through Trips, but the insurance offered by the local rental car company was simpler and cheaper, so I recommend purchasing insurance from Nippon Rent-A-Car.

Mitsubishi Delica
From September 11th to 13th, I rented a Mitsubishi Delica in Sapporo and drove to Biei, Abashiri, and other places. The scenery along the way in Hokkaido is breathtaking, making for a very comfortable and relaxing drive. The car had spacious seats and plenty of room for luggage, making it very comfortable. Customer service was excellent; they responded quickly to any questions and provided solutions. The rental and pick-up process was also quick and convenient. We even saw deer and foxes along the way, which was a delightful surprise! Overall, I was very satisfied with the experience and would recommend 17GO to anyone planning a road trip in Hokkaido!

Subaru Forester
The car was problem-free, in good condition, and clean. We chose a Forester because we already owned a Forester in Thailand, so we were familiar with the system and driving style without needing to learn anything new. Surprisingly, we got a newer model, allowing us to test drive a newer Forester model that wasn't available for test drives in Thailand. My mother loved it and took pictures of the car from many angles. The rental company had Japanese staff handling the paperwork, not foreigners who had opened a company in Japan, which made us feel secure. The only downside we encountered was that upon arrival at the rental shop, they informed us that the highest-value insurance we purchased through trip.com was directly from trip.com, not the rental company itself. Therefore, it wouldn't cover several points, leading us to decide to purchase additional insurance from the rental company, which cost several thousand baht more – a double expense.
