Bar Harbor Apartments

Since we arrived at the hotel late at night, the man at the front desk of the hotel directly gave us a room without a balcony in the side building, and said that the booking information received was that there was no balcony! ! In fact, the rooms with balconies are in the main building, facing the sea, and are full. So communicated with Ctrip customer service, Ctrip service attitude is good, but the problem is not solved, after repeated 2 days of negotiation, Ctrip customer service finally compensated 3.5% of the total cost as a little psychological comfort for Ctrip customer service. Since it was full, so 3823 yuan / night, stayed for 2 nights, it is not worth it. The environment of the hotel is relatively good, it is on the seaside, but our side building can't see the sea. Don't imagine this is a luxury hotel, just because of the summer tourist season, it's surprisingly expensive. Hotel equipment is average, a bit old, next time will not be fooled again!

We stayed in the Duck Brook Room. Easy access to elevator and a large comfortable room. King bed, 2 windows to front of property that we opened for fresh air, a table and 2 chairs and separate counter area with microwave and small fridge. Our only stop with a recycle bin in our room - THANK YOU! The staff was always very courteous and the included breakfast each morning was wonderful. Walking distance to the downtown restaurant and shops area. Plenty of parking in the back of the Inn.

Glad we chose this location. We wanted something in town and affordable. Family of 5 with 3 young adults requires 2 rooms. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the hosts are friendly and helpful. We loved the location with easy walking to shops and restaurants. Jordan’s was a good location for a hearty and fast breakfast (2 blocks) and there’s a mini fridge in the room. The motel is also an easy 4 blocks to the Bar Island hike at low tide. We loved our trip to Bar Harbor and Acadia!

Very good stay experience, convenient transportation, spacious and bright rooms, clean and sanitary, comfortable living, delicious breakfast.

A girls trip to the East coast brought us to Bar Harbor in hopes of leaf-peeping. Unfortunately we were too early for seeing many colors, but we certainly enjoyed our time there nevertheless. The BHG was a lovely and convenient place for our stay. The front desk personnel were most helpful in securing printed Acadia park passes. They were also spot on with recommendations for dining. The breakfasts were plentiful and varied. The housekeeping staff were most friendly and did a great job. Staying here also made it easier to score a dinner reservation at The Reading Room at The Bar Harbor Inn, a sister property.

Before we booked we called to ensure that they had a strong internet connection as we had to move up our trip due to an incoming hurricane which meant we had to remotely attend a meeting. We were ensured that Wi-Fi was available and fast. When we arrived at 10:15 at night the Wi-Fi was so weak I could not do a google search. We talked to the front desk and they said this is a known problem. Now the room. It is very basic which is fine. Our issue is how filthy it was. There were other peoples belongs under the bed as well as dust and other dirt. The bathroom was also unclean with toilet paper in the toilet. The desk/table as well as the storage shelves were so dirty that when I put my bag down and picked it up it looked as though I had rubbed against my car after a snow storm when the roads had been salted and sanded. We called the front desk again to let them know about the filth and they only offered to come get the other people’s belongings out of the room. We only stayed as it was too late to check into another hotel for the night. I went to the car and got my sleeping bag and slept in that. The next morning we sought out laundry facilities to wash everything we brought in with us. Not the way we had hoped to start our vacation. I am not sure the room was cleaned beyond making the bed. Disgusting. For the price we expected it to be basic but clean. I typically I do not leave bad reviews as everyone has bad days but this was unacceptable and they refused to remedy it.
