We stayed three nights in the Cozy Suite and this part of our ten-day holiday in the hills were the best. Spacious, tastefully decorated and with a nice bathroom and convenient kitchenette, it felt right at home. This suite has the best view of the other side of Kalimpong and one can just sit on the balcony and chill. The whole property is built on levels, filled with potted flowers and one can potter around the property and engage with the lovely dogs and cats. The complimentary breakfasts are delicious and the staff and owner so welcoming and friendly. Shoutout to Pradeep, Mary and Maurice for making us feel like we belonged there. Gingko Eyrie is THE homestay benchmark.

Hotel is quite luxurious with quite spacious and comfortable rooms. My favorite place was the open deck offering very good mountain views. All staffs were very friendly and courteous, especially ms smite and ms doma. Overall it was an excellent stay. I will definitely visit again.

The hotel was beautiful and clean, nice views, and provided a welcome rest after our 18 day trek in Sikkim. The rooms were huge, beds very comfortable, and bathrooms spotless with large shower heads. The staff was lovely and very helpful with recommendations about Kalimpong. Breakfast was accommodated early for us as we had to catch a flight. Good eggs and toast. We didn't get a chance to try the breakfast buffet. All in all, it felt like a luxurious spot for a reasonable price.

Had a good stay for one night. The hotel staff (managers etc) is really good - smiling, helpful, very cultured in talking. The room was good, with large windows and good furniture, and full OTT services on TV. The food is good, pure veg to our delight. The only concern was that although the room did have a ”mountain view” as advertised, the location of the hotel - next to a petrol pump and overlooking other buildings, made the roofs of those buildings and the traffic of the roads below come in the way of the mountain view, which is only at a distance. The immediate view is of the busy road and traffic outside, not of any greenery. But good experience overall.

The Elgin Silver Oaks in Kalimpong was a delightful stay for our family with young children. The Elgin family of hotels was able to accommodate a last minute change in reservation at our request and they did so with kindness and hospitality. Our stay at the Silver Oaks was truly outstanding. From the comfortable and spacious rooms to the gorgeous grounds, outstanding and friendly staff to the delicious food - we truly spent a lovely time wandering the grounds and exploring Kalimpong.
